We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled colleague to join our research environment. In a dual-role position, you will contribute both to coordination of research projects and to quantitative analysis of human neuroscience data. You will become part of a multidisciplinary team working at the intersection of engineering, physiology, and data science. Information on the Department can be found at:
About the Role
This position consists of two main areas of responsibility:
1. Research Coordination
You will support the research projects by managing and structuring processes and ensuring compliance across the project life cycle. Your tasks will include:
This part of the role requires strong organizational skills, clear communication, and the ability to manage several processes simultaneously in a structured and proactive manner.
2. Data Science & Quantitative Research
The second part of the role focuses on analyzing and interpreting complex human neuroscience data. Your tasks will include:
Strong problem-solving skills, a solid mathematical background, and a logical, structured way of thinking are essential for success in this aspect of the role.

Terms of employment
The average weekly working hours are 37 hours per week. The employment and salary are made in accordance with the Circular on the Collective Agreement concerning academics in the state sector concluded between the Ministry of Finance and AC (the Danish Confederation of Professional Associations)

About the Role

You will support the research projects by managing and structuring processes and ensuring compliance across the project life cycle. Your tasks will include:
- Managing research data with full GDPR compliance
- Ensuring correct documentation, and secure data storage
- Handling procurement, invoices, and general administrative workflows
- Coordinating with technical and administrative staff across the department
- Contributing to the planning, structuring, and coordination of research projects and internal processes
This part of the role requires strong organizational skills, clear communication, and the ability to manage several processes simultaneously in a structured and proactive manner.
2. Data Science & Quantitative Research
The second part of the role focuses on analyzing and interpreting complex human neuroscience data. Your tasks will include:
- Data handling, cleaning, processing, and large-scale data management
- Mathematical and statistical analysis of physiological data
- Developing and applying mathematical models and pipelines
- Implementing machine learning methods
Strong problem-solving skills, a solid mathematical background, and a logical, structured way of thinking are essential for success in this aspect of the role.
Qualifications
We expect that you:
- Hold a Master’s degree in engineering, with a specialization in Quantitative Biology and Disease Modeling
- Have strong analytic skills and experience with Python, R, and MATLAB
- Have experience working with big data
- Possess strong organizational and communication skills
- Work effectively as part of a team and have excellent interpersonal skills
- Have an interest in human physiology and understanding complex biological systems
It is a significant advantage if you also:
- Have experience with signal processing
- Have knowledge of EMG, EEG, and coherence analysis
- Have worked with movement data, including movement recognition and movement classification
