WE ARE LOOKING FOR A DRIVEN AND COLLABORATE BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT MANAGER TO JOIN THE TEAM BASED IN COPENHAGEN

YOUR MISSION & RESPONSIBILITIES AHEAD OF YOU
The role will act from high-level strategic planning down to cross-functional strategic lead on projects across the business. This role will be involved in varied and diverse projects across the business, which may relate to the brand, retail, marketing, customer, digital, channel strategies, retail and luxury sectors and competitor analysis, and all market opportunities. This role must be a critical thinker and able to influence key stakeholders throughout the business, including senior leaders and functional heads.

Responsibilities ahead of you

  • Management of key strategic projects
  • Support business-wide initiatives to provide a holistic cross-functional overview and commercial oversight
  • Provide and validates financial scale to key transformation and opportunities, with associated plans to deliver the Growth
  • Responsible not only for the formulation of strategies but translates them into specific, results-driving initiatives and providing the tools to measure and evaluate them
  • Engages senior leaders and cross-functional teams in the implementation of strategies, monitoring progress and providing ongoing strategic oversight
  • Contributes to a culture of innovation by exploring trends, innovations and business opportunities that align with the corporate strategy
  • Lead the work of the Strategy Unit including defining the Unit’s overall mission as well as it’s key areas of focus, identifying and scoping projects together with Director of Business Development across GANNI, and lead project development and implementation
  • Perform deep-dive analysis to support key business requirements and decision making, including content licensing, price and marketing promotional activities and a deeper understanding of local customer
  • Provide and validates financial scale to key transformation and opportunities, with associated plans to deliver the Growth
  • Responsible not only for the formulation of strategies but translates them into specific, results-driving initiatives and providing the tools to measure and evaluate them
  • Engages senior leaders and cross-functional teams in the implementation of strategies, monitoring progress and providing ongoing strategic oversight
  • Contributes to a culture of innovation by exploring trends, innovations and business opportunities that align with the corporate strategy
  • Curate a positive, collaborative, inclusive and efficient team working environment where team members enjoy working with each other, feel able to do impactful work and grow professionally over time, including through regular developmental feedback

MUST HAVE REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s degree or a direct equivalent is required, MBA is preferred
  • At least 5 years of relevant work experience, ideally 2 in top tier consulting firms
  • Track record of high performance with gradually increasing responsibilities

Demonstrated Skills and Competencies
You will likely come from a background of management consulting ideally within a luxury retail sector, and possess a high level of intellectual rigor, able to become quickly engaged in the business and have an authoritative and assertive personal style. You’ll have a naturally inquisitive mindset and be able to balance the big picture with specific details, including financials and data analytics.

You’ll be an independent thinker, able to contribute to wider business discussions at the senior leadership level, challenge through reasoned arguments and possess a high achievement orientation.

  • Experience overseeing and leading teams that drive
  • Strategic analysis, strategy planning and implementation
  • Execution of strategic change and organizational change management
  • Project management of large-scale, cross-functional projects in a fast-paced environment
  • Deep strategic thinker that can lead an organization in reflecting on its role in a rapidly changing environment, using qualitative and quantitative data to develop, refine, syndicate, and push towards implementation transformational organizational strategies
  • Understanding of and passion for fashion, and how the contemporary fashion industry is evolving., coupled with a desire to shape and drive change across the sector
  • Ability to connect with, debate and influence senior leaders and support them in reflecting and driving change across their organizations
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills – ability to present and influence at the highest levels both internally and externally.
  • Highly collaborative and able ability to work independently in a dynamic, cross-functional global structure
  • Experience and ability in managing a team of high-performers and to recruit, develop, inspire, and retain team members.
  • Ability to respond enthusiastically and positively to ambiguity, be resilient to shifting priorities and setbacks, and be comfortable with imperfect analysis and solutions
