We are growing and looking for a Precision Medicine Principal Scientist to lead the implementation of precision medicine strategies in clinical development.

About the department
Precision Medicine is a growing department building and implementing precision medicine strategies in clinical development programmes. As part of the corporate global R&D strategy, the unit has the goal of developing and implementing fit-for-purpose precision medicine strategies for patient stratification and selection.
We work in multi-disciplinary project teams to ensure precision medicine biomarkers are integral from the earliest research experiments through to innovative Phase 3 studies and launched products. Our commitment is to build a differentiated pipeline with an increased probability of success by matching medicines with those patients who will benefit the most. The position
Precision Medicine Principal Scientist is accountable for the development and implementation of precision medicine strategies across clinical development programmes. A key element is to work closely with early and late-stage clinical development teams to integrate biomarker evaluation and validation with diagnostic planning and implementation whilst maintaining a focus on operational feasibility and broader commercial implications. This could be within the areas of diabetes, obesity, haemophilia, growth disorders, cell therapy, cardiovascular disease or NASH. The position is based in Måløv, Denmark.
You will work in a multi-functional team of medical, diagnostics development, regulatory, payor and commercial specialists to bridge the clinical and commercial needs of the project with biomarker and diagnostics development. An essential part of the role will be to ensure robust project planning across complex global drug and diagnostic project teams.
As a senior member of the Translational Development Unit, you will also play a key pioneering role in the development of precision medicine and diagnostics as new disciplines at Novo Nordisk.
Qualifications
You hold a PhD and/or MD with experience from a biotech or a pharma company and a minimum of 5 years of experience implementing precision medicine strategies in clinical development. Previous experience in diagnostic development would be a bonus. We see it as an advantage if you have a scientific background in metabolic and/or cardiovascular disease.
