Novo Nordisk is expanding into Other Serious Chronic Diseases (OSCD) and, as a result our Danish Affiliate is hiring a new position as Medical Manager – NASH, Alzheimer’s Disease and Cardiovascular Diseases. In this exciting position, you will be responsible for building up field medical activities, initiating innovative projects, developing a comprehensive understanding of these new disease areas to act as a medical expert for the Affiliate, and driving any pre-launch activities from a scientific perspective. The Position As Medical Manager for Other Serious Chronic Diseases (OSCD), you will be a leading partner in the generation, interpretation, and communication of medical and scientific data with internal and external stakeholders (KOLs, HCPs and other influencers) as well as driving innovative project with an entrepreneurial mindset. You will be responsible for ensuring that the Danish affiliate is equipped and trained to deliver the best possible scientific interactions with the external scientific community. You will spend 20-40 % of the time in the field with external partners (HCPs and KOLs) as a preferred partner in generating and discussing evidence and science. As part of your key responsibilities: You will be responsible for seeking out opportunities and advice to obtain understanding of the market and patient pathways within NASH, Alzheimer’s Disease and Cardiovascular Diseases in support of internal medical and commercial business decisions. You will work closely with our Clinical Department initiating and supporting clinical trials within these new disease areas. You will contribute to the development and implementation of the OSCD Strategy and prepare launch activities in close collaboration with our Regional Office. You’ll act as a scientific expert and drive real world evidence generation and lead publication of data within NASH, Alzheimer’s Disease and Cardiovascular Diseases. You will deliver input to Project Development Plans and trial outlines, as well as ensure proper internal training and support of colleagues in the Affiliate. Qualifications You might be our ideal candidate if you: Hold a master or preferably a Ph.D. degree in medicine, pharmaceutical or other natural sciences. Have a proven track record of professional experience within the pharmaceutical industry or from a hospital setting in NASH, Alzheimer’s Disease and/or Cardiovascular Diseases. Have 2+ years of proven experience, in management of Medical Affairs activities, of clinical trials, observational studies, project management and development of medical education material and publications and planning of and conducting advisory boards/expert panels. Have an innate ability to interact authoritatively with key internal and external stakeholders as well as an entrepreneurial mindset. Are fluent in both Danish and English in both oral and written form. About the Department The OSCD & Medical Affairs Department constitutes a group of medical managers who are responsible for driving and/or supporting the scientific activities within the Novo Nordisk focus therapy areas. As part of our key missions, we strive to improve patients' lives by ensuring healthcare decisions are based on latest evidence. We generate and disseminate evidence related to our focus areas in close collaboration with key stakeholders. We carry out the investigator sponsored studies (ISS) process, support generation and interpretation of real-world studies and handle various medical project across Denmark. Additionally, we oversee and drive speaker selection and scientific content for external meetings such as our medical education program.
