The Position In this role you will develop and drive medical and scientific therapy area strategy for obesity and priorities in Region NWE; lead and chair Region NWE medical leadership community within obesity, ensuring close collaboration, sharing of information, and implementation of strategic priorities as well as individual affiliate support and personal development. Drive proactive cross-functional collaboration, including leading the Region NWE cross- functional therapy area working group and representing the group in Region NWE Forum, representing medical and scientific affairs in the “Therapy Area Triangle” (i.e. cross- functional team with commercial and external affairs) Your other responsibilities would include: Represent Region NWE medical function and drive priorities for NWE in European/IO/Global fora (internally and externally), e.g. leadership meetings with professional associations etc. Develop and nurture productive relationships with relevant internal and external stakeholders including key opinion leaders, subject matter experts, professional associations, and vendors/consultants. Proactively collect and provide medical/scientific expertise within the therapy area in relevant fora and to/from relevant stakeholders (internally and externally) Drive and co-create new initiatives that fit the market for Region NWE and secure implementation Qualifications For this role we’re searching for a person who has the ability to communicate regional priorities in light of the business needs and the ability to empower others through coaching or mentoring. The ideal candidate is good at negotiating with multiple stakeholders and can navigate in the matrix and prioritize regional needs while at the same time be able to support initiatives coming from other stakeholders (e.g. Global/IO) Moreover: You have a M.D., PHD and/or M.Sc in relevant scientific field Substantial business, medical affairs and leadership experience Project-based activity and successfully delivering initiatives Previous people management experience is preferred About the Department Novo Nordisk is a global healthcare company with more than 95 years of innovation and leadership in diabetes care.
