We are proud that we in 2022 were awarded the innovation prize by Dansk Industri (DI) for our acoustic leak detection (ALD), which further fueled our ambition to transform meter data into insights into value that will help utilities optimize the production and distribution of clean water and energy. To support the journey of adding new software and services to the portfolio we expand the Digital Water Service team with a Project Manager for Customer Innovation Facilitation.
With direct reference to our Vice President, Digital Water Services, you will become part of a newly established department currently counting two colleagues but with many engaged, ambitious, and competent colleagues in other parts of the Water Division, striving to bring out the best in each other. The department is responsible for the expansion and growth of our digital software and services portfolio on a global scale. The team will enable this through three focus areas; a steady inflow of value-creating innovation opportunities together with our customers, working on the backlog of business opportunities available related to software and services, and enabling commercial success with software and services by supporting the sales division.
A job with a focus on the facilitation of innovation
As our new Project Manager, you will own and facilitate several innovation projects at a time. You will be responsible for presenting and selling our standard procedure for facilitation, running the facilitation all the way from ideation through to ideally a MVP or prototype. In these projects, you must always have a clear sight of the customer’s value chain and the value that this can bring both the customer and Kamstrup. You will work closely with cross-functional teams both internally in Sales, Technology, and Product Management but most importantly with our potential or existing customers.
More specifically, your responsibilities will be:
• Running 4-5 innovation projects at a time together with our customers
• Team facilitation in relation to the innovation projects
• Identifying customer needs and market opportunities within the digital software and services portfolio
• Creating an innovation pipeline through frequent dialogues with customers on value-adding software and services
• Cross-functional collaboration to ensure strong alignment with customers, colleagues, and other stakeholders
• To stay up to date with trends and best practices within project management, and emerging technologies that could impact your way of working with customer innovation
Overall, you will largely have the possibility to add your own touch to the digital software and services portfolio, where your goal is to act as a driver for revenue growth by creating value for customers and Kamstrup. As the team expands you will have the opportunity to become a People Manager.
In the job, you can expect around 60 travel days per year, primarily in the Nordics.
Experienced profile with a winning personality
We are looking for an ambitious Project Manager who is passionate about innovation. Specifically, software and services. We imagine that you have several years of experience in project management which has given you a broad and in-depth toolbox for leading and facilitating projects, e.g. using design thinking or co-creation methods. Your professional background is not of importance, but we expect you to have solid experience with innovation projects, proficiency in working closely with customers on value-creation and conducting customer innovation using agile methods. Experience as People Manager and domain knowledge is an advantage though not a requirement.
As a person, you act professionally in all interactions. You thrive in an outgoing role, you are excellent at building trustful and honest relations, and you are an efficient communicator when it comes to customers and stakeholders. Furthermore, you are analytical and driven by your desire to create change. You have a creative and proactive mindset, that enables you to identify and prioritize key value-creation levers and follow up on them. In addition, you are known to deliver on your agreements and your structured approach to tasks enables you to keep an overview in a busy work environment with several ongoing projects.
The job requires fluency in written and spoken Danish and English.
