Working with trial management in the Diabetes Clinical Operations project area, you will join a collaborative and dedicated team on a mission to create better treatments, care, and innovation for patients with diabetes. Here, you will help us deliver innovative products and drive improved patient outcomes as you take on the overall responsibility for the planning and execution of global clinical trials in phases 2-4. You will also play an active role in improvement projects across the organisation. By contributing to our shared mindset of collaboration and curiosity, you bring innovation to our clinical trials and pave the way for the success of our mission.

Director of Clinical Operations
The Position
As Director of Clinical Operations, you will:
- Lead and develop an engaged and skilled team of Clinical Project and Operations Leaders, Global Trial Managers and Global Clinical Trial Administrators. Taking on this role is a unique opportunity to make an impact in a large, global development organisation.
- Be responsible for the global coordination of several clinical trials within one or more development programs. Further, you will be a member of one or more Global Project Teams representing Clinical Operations and being accountable for accomplishing clinical trials through the operational strategy. Additionally, you will be responsible for the planning and allocation of the needed resources for a given trial within the clinical program.
- Ensure competency development and performance management by coaching and guiding your team members, setting expectations, and leading the team to success.
- Lead the implementation of the Clinical Drug Development strategy, proactively ensure relevant change management activities and role model the Novo Nordisk Way.
The job is based in Søborg, Denmark. Some travelling for meetings can be expected.
Qualifications
To succeed in this role:
- You hold a Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Science and have several years of experience working with clinical drug development.
- You have previous experience with line management and project management. It is also expected that you have experience with the operational aspects of planning and conducting global clinical trials.
- You are familiar with cross-organisational and global work and can navigate well in a project-driven matrix organisation.
- It is expected that you can inspire and motivate employees to do their best while having an organized and structured approach to leading employees. Preferably, you can navigate well during organisational transformations.
- As our corporate language is English, you must have a good command of the English language.
