The position
As Strategic Lead, you will be responsible for clinical development of the rare disease portfolio in Novo Nordisk in terms of project management, capabilty building, medical and scientific aspects, and clinical operations. The Corporate Vice President of the area is now seeking a close collaborator who is experienced in drug development and eager to develop strategies and turn them into actions. Your main responsibilities will include:
• Engage with key stakeholders to develop the plans and support the rare disease agenda through flexibility and pragmatism.
• Drive analysis, development, and implementation of organizational as well as business-related strategies across Rare Disease.
• Ensure operational implementation of tactical activities supporting the Corporate Vice President aspirations proactively driving strategic initiatives.
• Provide functional support to the Corporate Vice President for business projects.
Qualifications
You will be a great asset to our team because you have:
• A MSc or PhD related to Life Science and extensive experience in running processes, planning projects and business case analyses across Rare Disease area (preferably).
• Solid understanding of how to identify, align and coordinate with key stakeholders.
• Experience with business processes – preferably within Novo Nordisk.
• Solid experience working within Project Management or Project Leadership.
• Understanding of the pharmaceutical value chain and / or clinical development. On a personal level, you have strong strategic and analytical skills, and you are capable of handling high complexity. The ideal candidate can communicate clearly and effectively with stakeholders at all levels across Novo Nordisk. In addition, you are independent, flexible, proactive and result driven.
About the department
In the Rare Disease and Advanced Therapies project area we focus on rare blood- and endocrine disorders as well as new treatment modalities, and we span various technologies such as proteins, monoclonal antibodies, stem cells and gene therapy as current platforms.
We currently have several ongoing Phase 1-4 trials within Haemophilia, Growth Disorders and Sickle Cell Disease, and are soon preparing to enter new indications within Rare Blood and Endocrine Disorders. In addition, we are responsible for the execution of the Novo Nordisk stem cell portfolio. Here you will get the opportunity to work on products entering human studies through to marketed products
