The Safety Operations Adviser area in Denmark consists of two teams of highly skilled physicians, veterinarians and pharmacists who work in a dynamic environment supporting the entire development portfolio. The main responsibilities for the department are to perform health hazard evaluations in connection with potential product recalls, safety evaluations as part of internal non-conformities, perform medical review of individual case safety reports from clinical trials, review clinical trial and non-interventional study protocols to ensure adequate collection of safety information according to regulatory requirements and Novo Nordisk procedures, and to chair cross functional groups for clinical trials within Global Safety.

You will be responsible for the management, performance, and development of one of the Safety Operations Adviser teams. Your role will be to motivate and support employees through sparring on decision making and ongoing prioritization. You will ensure that the right competences are available and utilised efficiently balancing short-term and long-term commitments. You will likewise drive the continued improvement of procedures guided by the strategic ambitions of Novo Nordisk, our commitment to ensure patient safety and regulatory requirements in place.
The team in Søborg work closely with the Safety Operations Advisers located in Bangalore and you are expected to support the continued successful collaboration across the two hubs.Qualifications
To thrive and succeed in this role, we expect you to have:
• Relevant master’s degree in Health or Natural Sciences (MD, DVM, MSc Pharm or equivalent)
• People management experience from the pharmaceutical industry or a strong aspiration to become a people manager
• A strong focus on ensuring an ongoing dialogue with employees to drive performance, engagement, and development of the individual as well as the team
• A positive and pragmatic approach to challenges
• In depth understanding of medical concepts, scientific methodology and data analysis
• Solid understanding of drug development and the value chain in the pharmaceutical industry
• Fluency in written and spoken EnglishContact
