The Assistant Front Office Manager Role
A great opportunity has arisen for an experienced hotel Front Office professional to join our dynamic team here at Radisson Blu Scandinavia Hotel. We will be undergoing a major renovation of our lobby and ground floor, turning it into the beating heart of the hotel. Together with the team, and leading from the lobby, you will play a crucial role in the success of our new product and shaping the experience for our guests.

As the Assistant Front Office Manager, you will have the opportunity to lead and inspire a dedicated team of professionals, ensuring exceptional service. Reporting to the Front Office Manager, you will oversee the day-to-day operations of the reception. If you are hungry for responsibility and ready to take the next step in your career, this is the position for you! The working hours will be varied, including evenings and weekends. Your tasks will include:

  • Assist in the smooth running of the front office department, where all aspects of the guest journey and experience are delivered to the highest level, ensuring both property and company standards are attained and adhered to
  • Collaborate with other departments, build and maintain effective working relationship with all key stakeholders and partners both internal and external ensuring all communications/activities are controlled and undertaken in a timely manner
  • Contribute to a good working environment and promoting our corporate culture and values
  • In collaboration with the Front Office Manager, lead and manage the Front Office Team, fostering a culture of growth, development and performance within the department
  • Support and deliver on the strategies and objectives of the front office department, taking ownership for assigned areas of responsibility. Deputize for the Head of Department in her absence
  • Be in charge of the welcoming and onboarding process of new team-members, hereunder the creation of individual training plans

Qualities We Are Looking For In our Assistant Front Office Manager:

  • Proven hospitality experience in a front office supervisory position
  • Ability to adapt to changing service environments
  • Good leadership skills with a hands-on approach and lead-by-example work style
  • Commitment to exceptional guest service with a passion for the hospitality industry
  • Ability to find creative solutions, offering advice and recommendations
  • Strong communication and listening skills
  • Fluency in English, both written and verbal
  • Skilled with Microsoft Office software
  • An open, positive and communicative personality
  • Ability to handle multiple challenging priorities and assignments
