The Business Platforms organization is at the forefront of developing cutting edge technologies to improve the customer’s experience with personalized and automated end-to-end digital journeys, that enable Maersk customers to access standardized products and services seamlessly. The Platforms help enable Maersk’s vision to be the Global Integrator of container logistics, connecting and simplifying customers’ supply chains. Additionally, the team creates the foundation to integrate data, systems and processes, powered by scalable digital Infrastructure and APIs.

One of the digital platforms being established is the HR platform that enables Maersk’s new People vision. Our People vision is to nurture a knowledge-driven organization, capable of executing reliably, and made effective by the power of empathy. Having launched and completed a massive transformation program, the foundational element of our HR technology capability is in place. We now shift our transformation focus to the delivery of the broader requirements of the People Strategy alongside the stabilization and maturing of our transformed HR processes and investment in HR technology.

The Director, HR Platform has the responsibility for developing the vision for how Maersk can create world-class product offerings to support employees and managers in their journey with Maersk, simplifying talent acquisition, onboarding, career development, learning, internal job transfers, relocations during their journey with Maersk. You will also be initiating the hiring and developing the best product managers in the industry and overseeing the development of multiple innovative software products to create an industry-leading employee experience that will delight our employees around the world.Responsibilities

  • Understand the problem space by connecting with end-users and stakeholders
  • Define the product vision and ensure roadmap and future ideas lead to realizing the vision
  • Define and drive development in the product area from the capacity of product owner in a scrum team
  • Support scrum teams to improve: define, develop, deploy cycle, validate cycle
  • Own and manage product backlog which provide clarity and foresight for development team
  • Maintain communication channels with senior stakeholders to provide clarity on objective, roadmaps and status of various programs and initiatives.

What we are looking for

  • Experience in managing complex, cross-functional product development from exploration to market launch and maturity.
  • Experience in driving high visibility company wide programs on a global scale with high degree of ambiguity.
  • Influence multiple cross-functional teams to deliver products and projects on tight deadlines.
  • Proven project management skills to manage multiple, competing priorities simultaneously under tight deadlines.
  • Think strategically and execute methodically.
  • Enable efficient and effective execution of deliverables, building, maintaining, and improving mechanisms, processes, standards, and playbooks.
  • Bring superior program management skills and ability to assess and integrate new information and requirements into plans seamlessly.
  • Highlight and appropriately escalate any bottlenecks that block progress while proposing potential solutions to enable rapid decision making.
  • Ability to earn trust with a diverse group of stakeholders and influence without authority.
  • Provide regular, precise and effective status updates on key programs, processes and metrics.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

What you bring

  • MBA/MS from top tier, globally recognized university.
  • Proven track-record of taking ownership and driving results
  • Demonstrated analytical and quantitative skills, ability to use data and metrics to back up assumptions and develop business cases.
  • Min 12 years overall experience and at least 8+ years’ relevant experience in leading Product Management teams in global Technology organizations with leadership roles, leading products from conception to delivery in an agile, outcome driven manner.
  • Experience shaping product strategy, prioritization, and specification
