DAO Aviation is looking for a Procurement Specialist to our team in Roskilde Airport, if you can combine a commercial understanding with a technical interest, then you might be the one we are looking for.
Over the four decades since its foundation in 1979, DAO Aviation has become a major player with an extensive worldwide network and presence enabling a maintenance service tailored to customer needs.
Today DAO Aviation has 60 employees with a high level of experience and certification enabling the company to perform specialized services on engines and aircraft including avionics and spare part service with capability on a large range of components and part sales.
We continuously develop and expand the business with new activities, latest in 2021 DAO Aviation acquired Norrønafly Propeller & NDT in Norway, and you will therefore also work closely with colleagues in Norway.
Responsibilities:
➢ Issue RFQs to suppliers. Maintain and develop cooperation with suppliers.
➢ Analyze offers with a focus on price and quality, e.g., certificates and conditions. Negotiation of prices
➢ Place orders via web-based solutions and Emails, and continuously follow-up on all open orders.
➢ Work closely with Production to secure deliveries on time.
➢ Strategic purchasing and support the company's sourcing and purchasing strategy with a focus on facilitating and driving purchasing decisions through the development and adaptation of e.g., processes.
You understand complex regulatory compliance requirements, preferably from the Aerospace/Aviation industry. In addition, an important part of the job is to handle and solve any AOG's and other exceptions when they occur. The job can require contact to suppliers after normal working hours due to time differences.
Qualifications:
➢ At least 3 years’ experience within Supply Chain. It is of course an advantage, if you have strong purchasing skills and business acumen from the industry.
➢ English fluency, verbally and written.
➢ Have IT knowledge, our ERP system is Quantum, which is common within the industry.
