As Software Test Manager at SKOV, you will have the overall responsibility for setting the direction of SKOV’s test management strategy and implementation of processes and procedures accordingly. In this newly established position, you will work across the entire organization and the software development teams.

As Software Test Manager, you will be responsible for developing, evaluating, and validating test procedures in connecting with software system releases, new software applications, and much more. You will be in charge of identifying flag areas of improvement for management to prioritize, and will have the overall responsibility for maintaining the software tools applied at SKOV.

You will act as a mentor to the individuals who run tests and in general to the whole software development organization according to test management.

With direct report to the R&D Manager, you will become SKOV’S representative towards setting the direction within test management.

Your main tasks are to:

• Develop and maintain software testing standards and best practices while ensuring these are documented and implemented across software development teams.
• Manage test coordination between software development teams within the software increments, also regarding long-duration tests.
• Run test coordination forum to build knowledge across teams – make each other stronger, by sharing experiences across teams.

Your qualifications are a minimum of 3 years of experience within different testing systems, software testing, and experience with test management tools. As Software Test Manager you have a strong technical background, with the ability to quickly understand new technologies.

A proven track record of hands-on experience within test development both on the component level and system level is required, as well as a proven track record of technical leadership skills. Further, in-depth knowledge and experience in product development is a requirement, such as product integrations, processes, and CI/CD including large-scale automated testing.

You have a bachelor’s degree or a master’s degree in control engineering, automation engineering, computer science, or a related field. However, practical experience in general software testing and a proven track record is most important.

You are a person with an eye for detail and is persistent in detecting and correcting errors. In addition, you are proactive and contribute to improving existing processes and systems through an agile mindset. You do also have an open and positive attitude towards colleagues and are ambitious about their work, and what you can achieve together.

Traveling: Minimal travel activities are required within the position as Software Test Manager.
