And it is precisely within development of industrial IT systems / solutions, you will unfold your skills. You will play a very important role in our work to set the standards for future IT system solutions for ABB's automation systems. You will run your own projects from start to finish with associated customer dialogue and testing. The tasks range widely from the smaller ones that you solve in a day or two to the larger ones that you solve over several months in close collaboration with both the customer and your colleagues. You work both hands-on and as a Lead for colleagues in our development centers in the Czech Republic and India. That part of your job requires an open mind with understanding and respect for other cultures and traditions. The customers are typically large and well-known companies within e.g. the supply and power plant industry, oil & gas, pharma and chemistry. Your responsibilities
- Windows Administration incl. server administration and Active Directory
- Virtualization with VMware
- Installation and configuration of ABB's 800xA system
- Cyber Security and IT security targeted at critical infrastructure
- Network and IT infrastructure
- Coordinate and collaborate with colleagues in the Czech Republic and India - requires good English skills
Your background
- An education as a computer engineer, IT engineer, low-voltage engineer, computer scientist, IT technologist or similar
- Knowledge of virtualization environments (VMware / Hyper-V)
- Good knowledge of Windows applications
- Knowledge of Domain / Active Directory
- Knowledge of and motivation to become more proficient in network topology and security
- Knowledge and / or motivation to learn .Net, PowerShell and scripting
- An analytical and structured form of work with the ability to oversee a complex and modular structure
