The position
As a Senior Project Engineer, you will become part of Engineering Projects, which is responsible for scoping, planning and execution of engineering projects, including both large and small CAPEX projects, as well as optimisation projects that support the strategy.
Engineering Projects is part of the newly established Site Project Management department, which is organisationally anchored in Product Supply. We design and execute strategic engineering and process projects. We are approx. 25 employees and are physically located at Site Hørsholm. As a team, we are driven by the desire for lasting improvements, professional challenges, and professionalism. We are open, honest, and helpful to each other and it is important to us that we have fun while striving for the best solutions.
You will be responsible as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for pharmaceutical water (WFI, PW, RO) and you will have a direct influence on ALK's long-term design solutions and strategy for pharmaceutical water, e.g., industrial practice and technological development.

Your profile
You hold a degree in Engineering, Pharmaceutical Science, or similar with min. 5 years' experience from the pharmaceutical industry and from scoping and designing technical installations. You have solid knowledge, both practical and theoretical; preferably from working with the technology related to pharmaceutical water-production, and if not directly, then you are eager to learn so and willing to invest in a steep learning curve.
Furthermore, you work with a systematic approach, and you are able to have a holistic view on the site, the projects, and the needs for the future. You are fluent in Danish and English and have a work permit for Denmark.

Your role of responsibility will be:
- In collaboration with management and colleagues set out "high-level" strategy for our future setup and design, within pharmaceutical water.
- In the role of SME, Participant and Work Package Owner (WPO) in connection with CAPEX projects.
- Plan and execute tasks as WPO for project activities related to pharmaceutical water.
- Act as an SME, including providing input on requirements for sampling, sanitation and maintenance plans, etc.
- Keep up to date with GMP guidelines, requirements and legislation related to pharmaceutical water – and ensure that our systems, designs and procedures comply with applicable cGMP requirements.
- Write investment applications, as well as requirement documents, validation documentation and other QMS documentation.
- As needed – Support daily production by trouble shooting, derived from the role of SME.
Your daily tasks will include:
- Support our overall strategy for the site, with your responsibility for pharmaceutical water systems.
- As work package owner, be responsible for your package in both smaller and larger projects.
- Planning and execution of equipment/system qualification.
- Preparation and approval of qualification documentation.
- As SME/WPO, provide input to maintenance and service for WFI/PW/RO-systems and equipment.
- Handling of documents, e.g., SOP’s, technical documents, etc. in relation to your responsibility.
- Handling of suppliers and consultant in projects.
- When needed, participate in trouble shooting in daily operations as SME.
