Business oriented IT Manager to a market leading telecommunications innovator
Do you thrive in a position where you manage the IT-support in a very IT technical organization? Are you the one always thinking about the need to develop and implement improvements in the infrastructure and system landscape? Then we have just the right opportunity for you at RTX A/S.
At RTX A/S we are experts at applying our specialist know-how to create technology solutions within wireless communication. Our strength is our customized solutions which build on our best-in-class software developing abilities. Therefore, it goes without saying that our IT-infrastructure and operations is a vital part of our business. You will be managing the team that supports the business with IT-services and will be developing the internal IT-infrastructure together with the business.
Leading with a focus on optimizing and improvement
We have a complex IT setup at RTX, meaning that you will support the needs of highly technical departments e.g. software development, R&D, test & quality assurance, support and production. Therefore, your strategic focus is to continuously improve our services, systems and servers, with a cost-conscious mindset. Your responsibilities as IT Manager will include:
- Operations and infrastructure - You ensure availability of networks for the development, production and administration. Further, you secure recovery and back-up, and make sure that we have an updated and fully patched server landscape.
- IT-support – ensure that we handle issues and tickets in a timely manner, establish overview of incidents, provide and prioritize clean-up of legacy.
- Stakeholder management - You have a curious approach to understanding and addressing issues. You ask the right questions to find the optimal solution.
- Strategic and tactical focus - You will optimize and improve our business support, where you look at capacity limitations, SLA & performance monitoring, roadmapping, compliance and security. All in all, looking for optimization and development of the IT infrastructure at RTX.
You will manage a team of 5 people, who are specialized in different areas of IT. Therefore, you have a highly skilled team with specialists just waiting to optimize and improve performance with you.

You have highly competent users, from which you can gain a lot of know-how for specific subjects. They are more than happy to provide professional insights on how IT best supports their work.

Broad IT system knowledge and leadership is deeply rooted in your profile
We expect you to have leadership experience along with experience from IT operations. We imagine that you have experience from a similar organisation or a software development company. We don’t expect you to be a specialist, but we sure would benefit if you have a solid knowledge of different systems and have worked with optimizing IT infrastructure. You might have a higher education and if not, you have several years of experience with IT infrastructure and operations.
