IT Security Consultant

Are you curious about Information Security and Data Processing? Are you able to see the big picture, and do you have lots of initiative and desire to drive tasks forward? Then we have an exciting newly established position for you. In this position, you must have the desire and the skills to "build a bridge" between our IT department, IT security and all our internal and external stakeholders.

You will be part of a dedicated IT & Information Security Team at Solar, where we currently focus on the hardening of Solar’s infrastructure as well as reducing Solar's attack surface and protecting it optimally.

You will be placed in a Group function where you will collaborate with colleagues in all countries where Solar is present. You will also be in close dialogue with our external security partner.

We would prefer your workplace to be at our headquarters in Vejen. However, we are open to placement at our other locations in Denmark, for example in Aarhus or Brøndby.

Your tasks range widely within the area, but your main tasks will be:

• Implement new solutions and tools
• Contribute to a general security optimization of Solar IT systems and processes
• Continuously evaluate our technical security level across our complex IT landscape
• Finding solutions to security challenges
• Guide and prepare security requirements when purchasing new technology
• Provide technical support when conducting IT risk assessments
• Clarify security incident progression and assess security breaches in collaboration with Solar's external SoC
• Participate in projects to ensure that Security is implemented and subsequently operated and maintained in collaboration with colleagues

About you

What we are looking for:

• you are good at communicating effectively in writing and speech (in English)
• you work independently, are responsible and able to take the lead
• you are good at and like to collaborate with different professional groups
• you are thorough and analytical and able to familiarize yourself with new things and learn from them
• you have knowledge of IT Security work from a medium/large company
• you have 1-3 years of experience with IT Operations or IT Security

It is important that you have the drive and courage to take independent initiative, and that you are persistent in a positive way. You are able to work cross-functionally and have good collaboration skills, as it is important that you build up a great deal of knowledge of the internal organization and know who to contact when. Your background can be IT Support/IT Administrator/IT Security. Your educational background is not necessarily decisive. The absolutely most important thing is that you have experience with IT Operations or IT Security.
