As a Senior Legal Counsel in M&A Legal, you will act as a legal business partner on international M&A transactions and strategic projects. This is an exciting role that suits someone who is driven, experienced, and passionate about M&A.
To excel in this role, you'll need to be committed to providing excellent legal advice. Working with a team of experts, you'll be at the forefront of M&A transactions and strategic projects. Your role is to lead and advise on legal matters, ensuring close coordination with internal and external stakeholders. You will be responsible for providing guidance and training on legal topics to internal stakeholders.
This role is a great opportunity for someone who is excited about making a difference. To support the transformation of Maersk, we are looking for an experienced lawyer with proven M&A skills to join our highly skilled M&A Legal team.
The Key Requirements
- You hold a degree in law and have at least 5 years' experience from a top tier law firm preferably combined with a secondment or direct experience from an international in-house legal function.
- You have a proven track record of leading M&A processes and understand their commercial and financial context.
- You have strong business acumen.
- You work independently and stand by your decisions when challenged whilst keeping an open mind.
- You are methodical and thorough and have an ability to keep a clear mind in a busy and dynamic environment.
- You are a team player who can easily and proactively work with different stakeholders.
- You have an excellent command of written and spoken English. Other language skills and professional experiences from various jurisdictions (whether civil law or common law) are an advantage but not a requirement.
You'll have the chance to be a part of the core transaction team throughout all phases of a transaction. It's an exciting chance to work closely with experienced colleagues across the Maersk organization.
