Collaborating with a team of 8 dedicated colleagues across our Copenhagen and Esbjerg offices, you will be a member of our Danish Legal and TotalEnergies’ global Legal network providing legal support in an international context and in a challenging legal and regulatory environment. Key internal stakeholders are management and leadership teams across Esbjerg and Copenhagen as well as the E&P Legal department in HQ in Paris.

Your responsibilities
The purpose of this role is to support the legal needs of TotalEnergies’ Danish affiliates and protect our legal and commercial interests in Denmark, thereby contributing to the value optimization and mitigation of risks through excellence in contracting, regulatory, contractual compliance, and governance.

Your responsibilities
The purpose of this role is to support the legal needs of TotalEnergies’ Danish affiliates and protect our legal and commercial interests in Denmark, thereby contributing to the value optimization and mitigation of risks through excellence in contracting, regulatory, contractual compliance, and governance.
The main activities will be to:
- Play a proactive part in the energy transition in Denmark, working with stakeholders on Carbon Capture and Storage, and development of initiatives within Renewable Energies.
- Protect TotalEnergies’ interest under the Sole Concession and in DUC as well as under other licenses and JVs.
- Drive timely and commercially oriented legal advice in compliance with applicable law and clients’ needs in relation to:
- procurement, vendors and other contracting issues of moderate and high complexity
- projects such as Gorm Reconfiguration, working closely with our commercial and business development team
- Support regarding GDPR and Danish HR law, company law and governance of TotalEnergies’ Danish affiliates.
- Handle highly complex legal projects and cases and prepare legal opinions
- Manage TotalEnergies’ interests and recommend and execute strategy in relation to legal disputes.
