About the department
Global Public Affairs and Patient Relations is part of the Global Public Affairs & Sustainability area in Novo Nordisk. We are an active partner for patients and policymakers raising the standards of care in our therapy areas and helping solve society’s fundamental challenges. The team covers health and corporate issues focusing on key account management of main markets, leading EU relations through our Brussels team and home market corporate and public affairs. The Position
As our Public Affairs Lead for North West Europe, you will be responsible for driving and implementing our public affairs strategy in a close, multi-disciplinary collaboration with colleagues in key markets including Germany, France and the UK, working with Brussels office, regional and global teams. The role is based in our global headquarter in Denmark but will particularly focus on supporting our EU work in Brussels through regions and affiliates.
Key responsibilities include:
• Ensuring seamless cooperation between Global Headquarters, key affiliates and the regional office by delivering timely, high quality assets such as policy positions, data and evidence, guidance on the implementation of global flagship initiatives, communication tools and capability building support.
• Supporting strategy development and execution of external engagement and advocacy plans.
• Assessing and analysing key policy trends, risks and opportunities in the healthcare ecosystem and their potential impact on Novo Nordisk.
• Working strategically with key external partners including trade associations and representing Novo Nordisk in relevant global organisations, fora, and projects
• International travel commensurate with the role.
Qualifications
As an ideal candidate, you have:
• A Master’s Degree in Political Science, International Business or a related field.
• 5+ years of relevant work experience in public affairs in health, industry, consultancy or public institutions – preferably from the pharmaceutical or other policy-driven, highly regulated sectors.
• You have worked internationally with a proven track record in delivering campaigns in Europe.
• You possess a deep understanding and ability to navigate complex political environments and matrix organisations.
• Experience in designing and forming partnerships with a wide range of stakeholders. You have exceptional interpersonal and stakeholder management skills.
• An analytical mindset and strong knowledge of project management.
• Excellent communication and presentations skills.
• Strong command of written and spoken English.
