Shape and execute external communication efforts and lead media relations
Matas Group is in search of a dynamic and proactive External Communication Manager to shape and execute their external communication efforts and strengthen connections with the media and other stakeholders. This role entails a pivotal position in developing and implementing Matas’ communication strategies externally, across Matas Group and Matas Denmark. While leadership responsibilities are not part of this role, the ability to navigate a complex communication landscape is essential, and you will lead their external communication efforts, including media relations, corporate messaging, and stakeholder engagement, to effectively communicate their brand story, ambitions, and initiatives to external audiences.

The ideal candidate
will have solid experience in external communication, public relations, ideally with previous experience from a listed company. They possess strong relationship-building skills and the ability to establish and maintain close connections with stakeholders. Furthermore, they should have strong media relations skills and direct experience in effectively managing media relations. Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential – in both English and Danish- with the ability to craft compelling messages tailored to different audiences and channels. Additionally, strong project management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and meet deadlines.

Matas Group is in search of a dynamic and proactive External Communication Manager to shape and execute their external communication efforts and strengthen connections with the media and other stakeholders. This role entails a pivotal position in developing and implementing Matas’ communication strategies externally, across Matas Group and Matas Denmark. While leadership responsibilities are not part of this role, the ability to navigate a complex communication landscape is essential, and you will lead their external communication efforts, including media relations, corporate messaging, and stakeholder engagement, to effectively communicate their brand story, ambitions, and initiatives to external audiences.
Your responsibilities will include
- Develop and implement external communication strategies aligned with business objectives and brand positioning.
- Build and maintain close relationships with the media to secure media coverage and enhance brand visibility of both Matas Group and Matas Denmark.
- Proactively identify and capitalize on media opportunities to showcase the brand, offering, and corporate initiatives.
- Handle writing and distribution of press releases, as well as managing media inquiries and interviews.
- Lead the implementation and activation of LinkedIn strategies for Matas Group executive management as well as Matas Denmark, encompassing both content creation and engagement strategies.
- Monitor and participate in online conversations on social media platforms to protect and enhance Matas Group and Matas’ reputation.
- Manage crisis communication and ensure consistent communication to protect and enhance the brand’s image and reputation.
- Monitor media coverage and industry trends and provide insights and recommendations to enhance communication strategies and tactics.
- Collaborate cross-functionally and cross Nordic to ensure alignment and integration of communication efforts.
- Measure and analyze the effectiveness of communication campaigns and initiatives, and continuously optimize strategies for maximum impact.
