Student Assistant, Customer Experience

Svitzer offers an exciting opportunity as a Student Assistant in the Customer Experience team in the Commercial department. You will become part of a dynamic, global and ambitious team within the Svitzer Commercial Headquarters in Nordhavn, Copenhagen. Sounds interesting?

Svitzer is a leading Global Towage Operator. We have 430 tugboats worldwide and 4,400 colleagues to deliver sustainable marine solutions, making ports and terminals safer, more efficient and climate-friendly. More about the role

You will get an opportunity to join an international company that values collaboration across geographies and functions. The Customer Experience team is responsible for enabling the global commercial community across 37 countries through Process Support, Data Capabilities, and Customer Insight.

We hope that you will apply knowledge and skills from your academic background. Furthermore, you will get exposure to various administrative and project tasks, working closely with colleagues in Copenhagen and across the globe.

You will report to Falko Ojanen, who is the Commercial Data and Analytics Manager. Work hours are flexible, especially around examination periods. Student contracts are based on up to 20 hours per week.

Key Responsibilities

Overall, the key responsibilities include:

  • Assist in driving and monitoring system enhancements in the Planning Platform and process implementation in various operational areas to improve Service Delivery.
    • Documentation and Monitoring of Project Outcome.
    • Coordinate across Operations, Technology and Commercial Teams.

  • Work with the Commercial Data & Analytics manager on creating and improving the analytic toolbox, including training and communication materials.

We are looking for

We represent a wide range of educational backgrounds, work experience and nationalities – most important to us are personal skills, interest, and curiosity in learning more about working in a global setup. However, we are specifically looking for:

  • You are in the last two years of your master's studies in Business Administration, Data Science, Supply Chain Management or similar.
  • You thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic work environment, supported by a curious learning mindset and keen attention to detail.
  • You enjoy taking ownership and responsibility, and you are entrepreneurial about finding ways to improve the business.
  • You are an intermediate to advanced user of the Microsoft Office package, particularly Excel and PowerPoint. Knowledge of other presentation and communication tools is a plus.
  • You have an international mindset supported by a professional proficiency in spoken and written English.
  • You are a team player who understands the importance of stakeholder management and can build rapport with people on all levels - also in challenging situations.
  • Relevant experience from a student job or internship is preferred but not a requirement.
