Gubra is looking for a laboratory technician to join our Chemistry department. You will as a laboratory technician be part of a strong team working with peptide chemistry and support our peptide drug discovery pipeline. If you are motivated by working in a multi-disciplinary environment you should come and join us at Gubra. The candidate will fill a new position in our growing Chemistry department.

The Chemistry department is part of the In vitro & Pharmaceutical Research Area and support the vast portfolio of Gubra drug discovery projects with high quality compounds and peptide chemistry knowledge. We are experts in peptide chemistry, purification, and characterization, as well as peptide analytics by LC-MS and LC-CAD. You will join a team of 6 scientists and 5 laboratory technicians working closely together as a team and collaborating with other departments across the entire value chain of drug discovery.
We are looking for a candidate with flair for working with chemistry (peptides) in the laboratory and an understanding for automated synthesis, purification, and analysis. You are self-motivated, enjoy learning new things, thrive with collaborative work and can prioritize your tasks in a dynamic working environment. As a laboratory technician in our Chemistry department, you are supporting this vision by taking ownership and constantly striving for delivery of high-quality compounds and maintaining a state-of-the art laboratory environment.

Your tasks as Laboratory Technician are diverse and include:
- Automated solid-phase peptide synthesis (SPPS).
- Purification of peptides by RP-HPLC.
- Characterization and analysis of peptides by UPLC-MS and UPLC-CAD.
- Data processing and documentation.
- Instrument maintenance.
- Help in implementing new high through-put laboratory processes to optimize our workflow.
Professional qualifications:
- A certified laboratory technician diploma or similar.
- A genuine interest in working with chemistry in the laboratory.
- Hands-on experience with peptide synthesis or similar is an advantage but similar experience in the fields of organic chemistry or protein conjugation chemistry is also relevant.
- Knowledge of automated synthesis equipment and solid-phase synthesis.
- Good technical and theoretical knowledge within HPLC systems and purification.
- Skills within data handling and reporting of data.
- Good communication skills in both Danish and English.

- Able to navigate in a department where projects and tasks are shared and performed in a collaborative manner with your skilled technician and scientist colleagues.
