The Montoya Group at Novo Nordisk Foundation Center for Protein Research is looking for an motivated and reliable laboratory assistant to join our team. The position is fixed-term from 15 June 2024 to 31 December 2024. The ideal candidate will work 12 hours per week, providing support for various research projects in the lab. We provide flexible work hours, as the tasks may be completed according to the laboratory assistant’s own schedule, within a certain time.

Novo Nordisk Foundation Center for Protein Research (CPR) ( a Novo Nordisk Foundation center of excellence, was established in 2007 and embedded in the Faculty of Health and Medical Sciences, University of Copenhagen, to promote basic and applied research on human proteins of medical relevance. The Center comprises modern laboratories, supercomputer resources and state-of-the- art facilities within protein science and genomics. CPR is an interdisciplinary international environment with English as the main language. We are located in central Copenhagen, a city with one of the highest qualities of life in the world and a vibrant and highly interactive research environment. Terms of salary and employment
Your employment will be at CPR, University of Copenhagen. The position is 12 hours per week, with a preferred start date on 15 June 2024 and will expire on 31 December 2024.
Employment as laboratory assistant will be in accordance with the agreement between the Danish Ministry of Taxation and OAO/HK STAT. The position is placed in salary group 1.

Your tasks
As our Laboratory Assistant you will have the following responsibilities:
- Prepare solutions and reagents for protein purification, including making buffers, antibiotic stocks, and LB plates, amongst others
- Cleaning laboratory equipment
- Restocking media and buffers from SUND Sterile Centralen
- Handle laboratory waste and ensure proper removal to the goods yard

- Organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to follow instructions
