Project logistics is a specialized subset of the logistics industry that requires a fully integrated approach to the global orchestration of material flow, order management and shipment execution from multiple origins to a defined site location, including transportation of regular, out of gauge cargo (OOG) and other sensitive cargo across various transport modes (Ocean, Air and Land) with the objective to deliver in full, complete, on time and in the right sequence per the customer’s project plan and schedule.

At Maersk, our Project Logistics product teams combine traditional freight forwarding and transport capabilities with the highly specialized skills and competencies needed for complex project planning, transport engineering, procurement, and Health, Safety, Security, Environment and Quality (HSSEQ) compliance. Our experts are skilled in project transport solution design, special cargo transportation, specialized transport asset management, and project management services, including detailed planning, orchestration, and sequencing of end-to-end shipments from suppliers to often remote and austere destination sites.

We offer
The Global Head of Growth for MPL (Maersk Project Logistics) is responsible for determining and reaching the product's top-line growth objectives. This role oversees the product's sales pipeline to ensure its growth aligns with the product's financial planning. Additionally, this role spearheads the product’s strategic growth initiatives to achieve the yearly budgeted revenues and volumes. It establishes the standards and governance framework for the product's growth facilitation. Furthermore, it offers continuity of knowledge and bid coordination to regional growth teams.

The position will be located in Copenhagen, Denmark.

Role Responsibilities

•Drive and execute the product’s strategic initiatives for global growth to meet the annual budgeted revenues and volumes.

•Responsible for MPL global development and strategy for renewables including business plans, strategy and sales pipeline.

•Establishes the necessary operating systems and infrastructure to ensure the right decision-making and best practice sharing for industry strategy.

•Participate strategically in and contribute to ensuring the Go-to-Market Growth and commercial strategy of the product with Region

•Lead and execute the price setting strategy including pricing for large strategic RFQ opportunities.

•Lead and execute the regional Go To Market process of the product in line with the go to product market strategy

•Consolidate and share regional market information including market development, competition, customer and pricing trends.

•Participate in and contribute to the annual sales target setting process in the region for the product engaging with Finance and Sales

•Compile in cooperation with Region/Area stakeholders, the annual growth plan initiatives needed to deliver the annual budgeted growth in GP & Volumes

•Work with Global Bid team and oversee the response quality

•Ensure consistent monthly of the global sales pipeline including achieved business wins and conversion ratios across all sales channels.

•Provides regional sales/account managers with MPL guidance and direction

•Proactive engagement with the sales enablement team and/or with regional/area product heads to agree on corrective actions to turnaround negative GP deviation or accelerated positive GP deviation.

•Ensure updated product sales material is maintained and made available to all relevant recipients

•Advise if there’s a need of conducting product training material and events as required by sales and product stakeholder

•Work with the strategic regional Growth and Solution Design team

•Ensuring team members have the skills, knowledge and motivation to deliver the agreed outcomes.

•Engage in customer facing activities in alignment with sales

Critical Competencies

•Extensive technical product knowledge including experience in product pricing and go to market strategies

•Experience in customer facing engagements and presentation.

•Understanding of the key profitability drivers in logistics and supply chain management

•Strong ability to facilitate cross-functional decision-making and execution

•Strong communication and presentation skills
