Summary:

Scandinavian Tobacco Group is looking for a new Vice President, Brand Marketing for the division Europe Branded who can maintain and grow market share in an overall declining market. You are a talented leader with a strategic mindset who can set a direction for the category and portfolio with a data-driven approach, focusing on driving profit. Furthermore, we expect you to enter STG with a visionary marketing approach focusing on value for our consumers and customers. You have the creativity and boldness to challenge the status quo and create an innovative working culture.

Based in Copenhagen, you will report directly to the President & Senior Vice President, EUB, and have five direct reports with a team of around twenty people. Travelling is also included in this role (around 40 days per year).

What can you expect as Vice President, Brand Marketing at Scandinavian Tobacco Group?

  • Being brand marketing responsible for the Division Europe Branded
  • Having a consumer relevance of Machine Rolled Cigars and Smoking Tobacco portfolio at all times with the right products, price and packaging
  • Focusing on insight-based category, portfolio and brand strategies
  • Running strategic pricing
  • Working on portfolio and brand profitability and category and brand plans for the portfolio
  • Enabling and securing strong category and brand execution
  • Developing digital strategy and content for optimal customer experience on e-commerce platforms
  • Developing innovation/renovation (NPD/EPD) strategy and execution, including running and managing the end-to-end pipeline process in close collaboration with the insights team and operations
  • Simplification and optimizing DTV strategy and execution in close collaboration with the insights team and operations
  • Assuring compliance of pack and designs in close collaboration with regulatory affairs and operations
  • Building up relationships with stakeholders
  • Overall owner and driver of budgets and opportunity pipeline
  • Keeping a finger on the market’s pulse and addressing proactively
  • Understanding and developing the dynamics of sales through data-driven marketing
  • Leading a dynamic team

Your areas of knowledge and expertise (that matter the most for this role):

  • 5- 8 years’ experience of managing and scaling up a marketing team from the consumer industry
  • Previous experience working with the full value chain, with a particular focus on building relationships with the supply chain organisation
  • Experience with international stakeholder management and relationship building
  • Experience in creating and launching brand strategies
  • Experience with cross-functional innovation and NPD
  • Strong commercial understanding and data-driven approach
  • English language
