Kamstrup is a Danish technology company and one of the world’s leading manufacturers of smart metering solutions with headquarters in Stilling south of Aarhus. Our ambition is to turn meter data into insight to help utility companies optimize their production and distribution of energy and water, and Kamstrup was in 2022 awarded the innovation prize by Dansk Industri (DI). Kamstrup’s business is undergoing rapid development, which means that the requirements for our smart metering solutions targeting the electricity industry are growing. Therefore, we are looking for a Technical Product Manager to be part of our Technical Product Management team in our Electricity division.
With direct reference to our Head of Technical Product & Solution Management, you will become part of a team of 9 highly skilled technical colleagues who work every day to develop and bring smart metering solutions to our markets. The team consists of many backgrounds ranging from highly technical profiles to profiles with a commercial and strategic focus and background. This diversity in backgrounds helps us achieve a high level of quality and development in our work, which is something we value highly in our department.
A role with a focus on high-quality products
In the position as Technical Product Manager, your primary tasks will be to contribute to the development and optimization of our electricity meters while securing that legal requirements are met for relevant markets. You will have a broad contact base throughout the organization and act as the go-to person in connection with questions from customers, sales, developers, and other stakeholders relating to electricity meters and IoT communication solutions.
As you participate in the development from the idea phase to implementation, you will know about any new functions and the value they create in our products. Therefore, a central part of your job will be to train sales colleagues, supporters, and partners, in the benefits of these new functions, which will allow them to deliver high-quality services to our customers.
More specifically, you will be:
In this position, you can expect up to 10 travel days a year.
Personality matters
We are looking for a person who is enthusiastic about the field between technical solutions and commercial value. Whether you have several years of experience or have recently graduated is not crucial. The most important aspect is that you are passionate and driven about familiarizing yourself with complex technical solutions and how they can add value to our customers. We imagine that you either have an academic background as an Engineer, Marine Engineer, Global Business Engineer, or another technical education.
As a person, you are a team player with a positive attitude, taking pride in helping your colleagues reach their goals. You have a structured proactive and detail-oriented approach to your tasks, and it comes naturally to you to work based on deadlines. Finally, you are a strong communicator, enabling you to interact and build relations on all organizational levels, both within and outside of the organization.
It is a requirement that you master both Danish and English on a high level – both written and spoken.

- The Product Owner and Product Lifecycle Manager of several current and new products
- Creating and maintaining technical and compliance documentation
