You will report to our Global Head of Ocean Freight and work from our one of our offices in Europe.Respect, Entrepreneurship, Integrity and Fun.What can you expect?The team you will be joining is well-functioning and cooperation and professional sparring is a priority for everyone. Besides supporting and actively drive our global carrier management strategy within SGL EMEA and resolving carrier issues upon escalation, among others your tasks will include:

Close collaboration with European offices and Global Head of Ocean Freight to drive EMEA procurement activities e. g. achieve agreed volume targets

Continuously drive re-procurement and improvement of existing larger customers

Actively promote ocean freight product within the sales community in Europe

Support our commercial- and sales team with co-sales and act as subject matter expert

Develop LCL consolidation offering

Develop and support key product initiatives

Engage closely in tenders particularly on larger opportunities

Create/drive regional ocean community

Represent region EMEA in global ocean community and global ocean activities

What do we expect?

Have a minimum of 5 years ocean freight forwarding experience

Have strong knowledge and understanding of market requirements

Has experienced knowledge of carriers

Have strong business acumen

Have high level of being self-driven and continuously raising the ambition for the product and company in general

Are disciplined and holds a strong ownership to area of responsibility and problem solving

Have strong negotiation skills

Are an experienced user in MS Office
