Head Nurse - Embla

The role:

The primary focus of the role is to work as the head nurse for our online weight loss clinic. With this role comes an opportunity to lead, shape and drive the evolving Embla clinic as the weight loss service grows over coming years.

Your duties as a head nurse:

• To assess new patients who have contacted Embla seeking weight loss treatments by video consultation
  
  
• To promote with enthusiasm that healthy lifestyle changes in tandem with medication offers the optimal approach to lose weight with results
  
  
• To work closely - and in constant communication - with our GPs, supporting them to prescribe GLP-1 analogues and other weight loss treatments that are evaluated to be safe and effective for the patient
  
  
• To provide competent explanations of the treatment they will be receiving including the side effects and contraindications
  
  
• To meet online with patients to evaluate how treatment is proceeding
  
  
• To work within the Embla Health Clinical Leadership team in delivering a quality clinical service
  
  
• To oversee and manage the other nursing staff employed by Embla and address any issues or concerns they may have
  
  
• To be confident working with private fee-paying patients, including an understanding of how to discuss and promote different fee structures
  
  

Qualifications (this is a requirement and must be met):

• You are a trained nurse and will adhere to the NMC Code of Professional Conduct/HCPC standards at all times
  
  
• You have at least 5 years of clinical experience
  
  
• You can work independently
  
  
• Have had experience leading a team
