Operational SHEQ Coordinator for two entities within Atlas Copco Group in Denmark

The role is a newly established role in Denmark and will cover two entities within the Atlas Copco Group in Denmark – RENO and Atlas Copco. Your primary work location will be at our RENO office in Egå, near Aarhus. You will report to the General Managers of both companies and be an advisor to the management teams in both companies. The role will require visits to our entities in Jutland and Zealand, located close to Billund and Albertslund. In the beginning expect more frequent visits, after a while aim would be approximately once a month.

In Atlas Copco we have high focus on safety for our employees. There is a global SHEQ community of SHEQ professionals in Atlas Copco, but you will take up the position on your own in Denmark. The SHEQ coordinator will be in charge of safety, health, environment, and quality assurance side of the business. The SHEQ coordinator will have a very hands-on approach and be operationally responsible for the establishment, implementation, documentation & maintenance of the QSHE management system. In the management system, we store all policies, processes, procedures, and tools.

Fluency in Danish and English is a requirement for the role. The role will be a perfect fit for you who have a few years of experience with ambition to prove yourself and try and build up the area on your own.

The SHEQ coordinator will be responsible for ensuring compliance within the following ISO standards:

  • ISO9001: 2015 Quality Management System.
  • ISO14001: 2015 Environmental Management System.
  • ISO45001:2018 Health & Safety Management System

More details about the role as SHEQ Coordinator

  • Develop and maintain a safe and healthy work environment that asks for an ongoing alertness for possible near misses, incidents and for an adequate remediation. Report any accidents in systems.
  • Increase operating efficiency, reduce environmental impact, promote a safe and healthy working environment as well as satisfy our customers.
  • Responsible for Work councils in both entities (Atlas Copco and RENO)
  • Prepare and lead all audits (internal and external). Ensure corrective and preventive actions are taken based on the findings.
  • Facilitation of an Annual Safety Day
  • Identify training requirements for the team with regards to SHEQ
  • Support legal compliance and reduce/mitigate risks
  • Retain and/or attract customers whose buying criteria favor companies with sound safety, health and environmental policies and performance
  • Reduce costs of; energy, resources, environmental pollution, remedial action etc.
  • Enhance the company's image with employees, customers, suppliers, regulators, lenders, ethical investors and other stakeholders, including improving relations and efficiency of communicating objectives and performance.
  • Ensure risk assessments are prepared and reviewed as necessary and assist with their preparation if necessary
