Senior Commercial manager, Offset and Industrial Cooperation, Søborg or Lystup

What is the candidate’s primary tasks?

You will become part of a dedicated, dynamic and experienced team with direct reference to our Executive Vice President (EVP), Government & Partnerships. You will be responsible for our global Offset and Industrial Cooperation activities as part of an integrated, cross-functional team and hence become a focal point for both internal and external stakeholders.

The role is generally divided into two main areas of responsibility namely ‘’opportunities’’ and ‘’obligations’’. The opportunity side, when Terma benefits from offset, requires close monitoring of the Danish Defense’s future acquisitions combined with coordination between foreign defense companies and internal stakeholders across our business areas and functions. The obligation side, where Terma has to satisfy offset and technology transfer requirements from other nations, is an important support function to our sales organization and requires the ability to understand and analyze local industrial cooperation guidelines on our export markets.

Offset and Industrial Cooperation is an integral and important element of Terma and contributes to several important aspects within the commercial domain, covering our business areas and regions. In addition, you will have touchpoints to a number of internal key functions such as Public Affairs, Legal, and Finance.

Your responsibilities will cover:

• Develop and execute offset and industrial cooperation strategies for Terma’s (potential) obligations on export markets in close cooperation with our sales organization and regional offices
• Ongoing dialogue and reporting to relevant government entities on offset and industrial cooperation projects and obligations
• Ensure that Terma is on the forefront of offset and industrial cooperation opportunities in Denmark

How to succeed in this position?

To succeed in this role you need to be excellent at stakeholder management, a strong communicator and posses a commercial mindset. Previous experience from working in a matrix organization is a plus. You may have a background from the military, defense industry, government and/or a relevant university degree. You are fluent in English and Danish both verbally and in writing.

In addition, we are looking for a candidate with the following qualifications:

• Extrovert and a strong communicator
• Ability to manage a diverse portfolio of projects and stakeholders
• Have a strong sense for detail while being able to assess things holistically
• Structured, analytical and capable of handling many cases in parallel
