Our Patient Value and Access Team is looking for a Value Demonstration Lead with extensive health economic expertise, strong project management skills, and familiarity with the requirements and methodology of the Danish Medicines Council processes. As part of the position, you will have close collaboration with our commercial business units regarding access challenges and tender strategies but also with our medical department concerning disease specifics and evidence generation.

You will be part of a highly dynamic team that works with several aspects of the business. The Head of Patient Value and Access in Denmark, Louise Herbild, gives the following information about the position and work environment.

ACCOUNTABILITIES

Secure fast and broad access to our medicines, beginning at early pipeline stage and up until the medicine is available for the individual patient, meaning:

  • Act as one of two company specialists developing value dossiers for early-launch products based on Danish requirements. This includes evaluation of evidence gaps and mitigation strategies to fill the gaps.

  • Build market access strategies for designated brands & drive Medicines Council processes. You will be in the drivers’ seat in the process in close collaboration with internal medical advisors and external partners, creating insights on disease areas, access restrictions, and financial barriers as well as processes, perceptions, and opinions that can inform our strategy for gaining broad and fast access to our medicines.

  • Hands-on adaptation of Global cost-effectiveness models to meet the needs of the Medicines Council as well as dossier writing.

  • Monitoring competitor landscape to secure pricing and tender strategy continuously support patients’ access to our medicines.


New product planning (NPP) activities

  • Ensure insight gathering and access planning that support optimal preparation for future reimbursement processes.

  • Participate as a member of the Nordic New Product Planning community, discussing local evidence needs on early pipeline products and comprehensible solutions.

  • Build and secure close collaboration across the Nordics regarding input to global HTA-models to enable easy adaptation to Danish requirements.


Tender management, Stakeholder Engagement, and Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Monitor Amgros’ tenders on a subset of products within designated therapeutic areas of strategic importance; develop tenders strategies and secure alignment with business units and relevant internal stakeholders.

  • Build long-term relationships with designated stakeholders to enable multiple beneficial dialogues and solutions for the benefit of patients as well as payers and providers.

  • Potential participation in Pharma Association working groups on topics of strategic importance.

  • Participation in cross-functional teamwork as needed with an agile mindset where your specific competencies are needed for a successful outcome.


SKILLS and COMPETENCIES

  • Technical skills: Strong Health Economic competencies and hands-on experience with complex CEA/CUA models, BIM and cost-minimization.

  • Collaboration: Strong relationships with external stakeholders and ability to establish and maintain productive internal relationships. You easily partner with others across the organization to ensure common understanding of objectives and achieve shared goals.

  • Drive for Results: Holds self and others accountable for delivering on commitments that align with our short- and long-term goals, never forgetting the result is to help patients through innovation in medicine.

  • Engage Others & Communicate with Impact: Motivates and influences others to gain support for ideas, strategies, and actions in service to providing superior pharmaceutical products to patients; provides appropriate background so that messages are meaningful with audiences

  • Can-do attitude and ability as well as willingness to seek new solutions and challenge status-quo externally as well as internally.


Experience and Education

  • Relevant university background, i.e., MedIS, Cand.Scient.Med., Cand.Polit., Cand.Scient.San.Publ., MSc. Health Econ. or Cand.Scient.Pol.

  • Preferably 2 years of experience in the pharmaceutical sector including Health Economics.

  • Medicines Council process experience.

  • Deep understanding of the Danish Health Care System, environment, reimbursement flows, and management structures.

  • Ability to acquire intelligence and insights in new areas without delay.

  • Knowledge and preferably experience with Value-Based Solutions design and execution.

  • Tender and pricing management knowledge.

  • Project management skills.

  • Desire to work truly cross-functionally and take responsibility to develop cross-functional solutions to ensure beneficial patient-focused outcomes.
