The job

For our Self-Protection Systems (SPS) business we are looking for an ambitious and competent proposal manager. The Self-Protection Systems business delivers Electronic Warfare products and solutions to our customers to help protect fighter, transport and helicopter aircraft and aircrews. The Electronic Warfare products and solutions offered is based on a portfolio of existing electronic and SW products and customization thereof for the individual customer requirements.

As a Proposal Manager, you will be part of the Program Management department within the Aeronautics Organization in Lystrup (Aarhus). Working in the Program Management team you will be surrounded by highly skilled and experienced project management colleagues, and you will quickly feel the drive and motivation that shapes our team. The working environment is dynamic and characterized by multiple parallel tasks and often short deadlines.

In close collaboration with colleagues from Business Development, Solution & Product Management and Technology & Innovation you will be responsible for leading our proposal efforts. More specifically your responsibilities will cover:

  • Forecasting and planning of proposal activities
  • Support BD sales lead in proposal generation
  • Ensure proposal stakeholders are continuously kept in the loop of the proposal process and are properly informed and involved as needed
  • Assist BD sales lead in meetings and negotiations with customer
  • Optimize and improve proposal procedures and tools

The position is based in our Headquarter in Lystrup, Aarhus. You can expect some travel activity, approximately 10-20 international travel days per year.

As our new Proposal Manager, you will work across the Aeronautics organization in both DK and US and with close contact to our regional offices. You will be a core member of our team and a core player in ensuring the growth scenario we are expecting in the Electronic Warfare domain.

How to succeed in this position?

As a proposal manager your qualifications should cover:

  • You can work independently and with a high level of individual initiative and personal drive
  • You have excellent stakeholder management skills
  • You are highly structured and process oriented and understand the necessity of coordination and follow-up
  • You have a strong commercial understanding to help build best possible proposal for both Terma and customer
  • Fluent in English (Orally/Written)

We are looking for a candidate with a good technical understanding, Engineering back-ground preferred, but not required. In addition, it is preferred if you have experience from a similar job function and / or experience from a job as sales manager or sales coordinator involving sales of technical products.
