Your new team

You will be part of the Civil Engineering Team, which consists of 12 colleagues and forms an important part of the EPC Department. Your new role

You will contribute to our ongoing projects and ensure the successful execution of earthmoving operations. As a Geotechnical Specialist, you will be responsible for overseeing the planning, design, and implementation of earthworks activities, including grading, excavation, and soil stabilization. You will work closely with Project Managers, Contractors, and other engineering professionals to ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and in accordance with industry standards and regulations.

Key Responsibilities on our PV and Onshore Wind Projects:

• Geotechnical Studies: Collaborate with contractors to drive geotechnical studies, analyzing soil-related risks in our projects.
• Foundation Designs: Estimate preliminary foundation designs, providing crucial cost estimates for integration into the business case.
• Scope of Work (SoW) Preparation: Develop comprehensive SoW for foundation testing campaigns on-site, ensuring thorough testing and analysis.
• Special Foundation Concepts: Innovate and create special foundation concepts tailored for challenging soil conditions, including lowlands and forestlands.
• PV Tracker and Structure Development: Conceptualize and test foundations specifically designed for large PV trackers and structures, actively contributing to ongoing development projects.
• Earthwork Design and Execution: Propose efficient earthwork designs, estimate earth quantities accurately, and prepare detailed SoW for execution and QA inspection.
• Tools Development: Contribute to the development of tools aimed at optimizing foundations, establishing a seamless link between geotechnical studies and foundation designs.

Job Prerequisites

• Sc / MSc in Civil Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering, or a related field.
• Proven 5-year experience working as a Geotechnical Engineer or in a similar role within the construction industry.
• Strong knowledge of earthworks principles, geotechnical analysis, and slope stability.
• Proficiency in CAD software and other relevant engineering tools.
• Familiarity with relevant codes, standards, and regulations.
• You have very good oral and written communication skills in English.

It is important that you have a problem-solving, structured, and analytical mindset as well as a sense of responsibility toward our tasks in order to effectively drive them independently but also in team setup when necessary.
