Do you have an interest in and a few years of experience in M&A and Project Financing? Do you want to be part of a team handling European Energy’s project financials and -sales for wind and solar farms globally? Then we might be your new colleagues!

European Energy is a green energy company in exponential growth. We develop, construct, and operate projects within solar- (PV) and wind farms globally, as well as Power-to-X. Our core values are the foundation of everything we do: In it together, Trust and courage, Ambition, Excitement, Inclusion, and Agility.

The Team

As our new Deputy Transaction Manager, you will be part of our M&A and Project Financing team located in Søborg, Copenhagen. We currently have 15 committed colleagues and four Student Assistants in the team and we are responsible for our project financials and -sales. We are involved in financial modelling, investor management, negotiations with banks regarding construction and project financing, as well as participating in the sale of the wind and solar projects that we develop at European Energy.

The department is the interface of the company with the financial markets such as investors and creditors, and we develop and maintain long-term relationships and promote competitive processes.

How you will create an impact

You will be responsible to create and maintain financial models, structuring VDRs, and preparing marketing materials, presentations, and economic analyses for different markets. You will be part of a “deal team” on various transactions and support the leads in different projects. You will work closely with both senior colleagues and Associates in the team, as well as colleagues from our different departments.

Key Responsibilities

  • You will prepare Financial Modelling for the wind and solar parks globally
  • You will handle the Virtual Data Rooms (VDR) for investor information
  • You will prepare marketing materials for investors and banks of our products
  • You will draft information memorandums and perform Due Diligence
  • You will work on the execution of deals

To thrive in the role we imagine you have the following competencies

  • You hold a Master’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or similar
  • You have 3-4 years of relevant work experience
  • You have solid skills in financial modelling, Excel, PowerPoint, and VBA
  • You are fully proficient in English, oral and written

As a person, you are friendly and open-minded. You have eyes and ears for details and are curious to ask questions to understand and optimize. You have an analytical mindset and you use your professional pride and stubbornness to follow through and deliver solid analyses. You find yourself comfortable to negotiate and you have a genuine interest in the financial market and the green energy transition.

We offer

  • We offer an opportunity to kick-start your career within M&A and Financing transactions within renewable energy.
  • We have an entrepreneurial approach to our work. In daily life, it means there’s not far from thought to action, and you will have trusted responsibilities no matter your seniority.
  • Knowledge sharing is important for us. We start every Monday with our global weekly morning meeting. Here the executive management and departments give us an update on projects and current focus areas.
  • We make an effort to welcome you as our new colleague. We prepare individual onboarding plans and assign everyone a buddy.
