In this role, you will be a key member of our Business Process organization, and responsible for analysing and optimizing business processes to drive operational efficiency and enhance decision-making. Your expertise in data analysis, process improvement, and business intelligence will be crucial in identifying opportunities for growth and streamlining operations.

VIKING’s Business Process department is newly established and comprises 6 dedicated colleagues. As Business Process Analyst, you will report to the Director, Business Process & Masterdata, and you will be located at the VIKING headquarters in Esbjerg.

Your main responsibilities will be:

Data Analysis and Interpretation:

  • Collect and analyse data from various sources to identify trends, patterns, and insights.
  • Develop analytical models and frameworks to interpret complex data sets.
  • Extract actionable information from large datasets and present findings in a clear and concise manner.

Process Mapping and Optimization:

  • Conduct end-to-end process mapping and documentation to understand current workflows.
  • Identify process inefficiencies, bottlenecks, and areas for improvement.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to redesign and streamline processes for increased efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Implement process improvement initiatives and track their impact on key performance indicators (KPIs).

Business Intelligence and Reporting:

  • Design and develop dashboards, reports, and visualizations to provide real-time insights on business performance.
  • Define relevant KPIs and metrics to measure process effectiveness and identify areas for optimization.
  • Generate regular and ad-hoc reports to support decision-making at various levels within the organization.
  • Conduct data-driven analysis to support strategic planning, resource allocation, and risk management.

In this job, you will partner with cross-functional teams to gather data, validate assumptions, and ensure data integrity. You will have the opportunity to collaborate with senior stakeholders, gain deep insights into the business, and become a trusted partner in our global organisation.

Do you have what it takes?
You have an educational background in Business Administration, Analytics, Computer Science, or a related field at Bachelor/master's degree level.

On the professional side we expect you to have min. 3 years’ proven experience in business process analysis, process improvement, and data analytics. You have proficiency in data manipulation, statistical analysis, and visualization tools (e.g., SAP S/4 HANA, SQL, Power BI).

You have good knowledge of process mapping methodologies (e.g., BPMN, Six Sigma) and process improvement frameworks (e.g., Lean, Agile) and are familiar with business intelligence tools and database management systems.

Most important is though, that you have a passion for data and have the understanding and ability to provide value for the organisation using your excellent problem-solving skills and ability to translate complex data into actionable insights.

On the personal side you have;

  • A mindset with a focus on quality, accuracy and data integrity.
  • Ability to work independently and also collaborate with and in cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced and global environment.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey complex concepts to non-technical stakeholders in Danish and in English.

We will, of course, ensure that you receive thorough training and when you are fully on board, the position will offer opportunities for both professional and personal development.

You must expect approximately up to 10 global travel days per year.
