As Technical Responsible Private Label at Actona Group, you will have a central role in ensuring the technological development and documentation within Private Label and that these live up to the requirements within sustainability, standards, and design. In collaboration with the Production Manager and the customer, you will decide on the construction technical solutions.

With direct report to the Regional Director for Private Label, France, you will be a close sparring partner and collaborator. Therefore, you must also have a commercial mindset, as you will come to have an essential role in connection to national and international customers and be able to understand their needs and translate these into technical solutions.

Your main tasks are:

• Technical responsibility
  • Ensure optimal and correct utilisation of the existing production platforms
  • Optimise and streamline the production units and attain the largest possible competitive advantage in the market
  • Construction quality assurance and in-depth understanding of standards in connection to approval
  • Understanding of combining materials for upholstered furniture
  
  
• Project management
  • Ensure that time plans are followed
  • Ensure the use of standardised components to the broadest possible extent to gain technical and economic advantages
  • Technical construction of furniture with a focus on design and choice of materials in close collaboration with the technical department in Lithuania
  • Production of prototypes in Actona Group’s Innovation Lab as well as the technical department in Lithuania
  • Document and communicate the technical production solutions to the technical department to ensure alignment across units
  • Understanding of and support for the completion of technical drawings and sketches
  • Ad-hoc tasks
  
  
• Commercial understanding
  • Sparring, guidance and continuous dialogue with international customers in the development process
  
  
• Daily management of a construction engineer in the Danish office
• Functional responsibility in the matrix organisation, if necessary, including a focus on the product and sales team

Your qualifications are at least five years of experience in construction within FMCG – ideally from the furniture industry. Additionally, you have a solid knowledge of materials such as wood, plastic, metal, textile, leather or foam. You are also expected to have well-documented project management experience and feel secure in the intersection of the commercial and technical departments.

You have a relevant technical education, for example, engineer, industrial designer, technical drafter or similar.

You are curious about the technical aspect and can gain a natural authority. Moreover, you are energetic, extroverted, and able to create close relationships both internally and externally.
