We offer

As an Interaction Designer you will join our Star Cool System Control Department and become a part of a team of Senior Project Managers, Data Analysts, Refrigeration Specialist, Software- and Hardware Engineers.

The team is working on the development of next generation of refrigerated containers including MCI’s new IoT service, Sekstant; as well as on the existing and upcoming Star Cool Reefer features. Sekstant is a gateway and connectivity solution that is fundamentally changing the way reefer container operators connect with and manage their transport chain. Furthermore, Sekstant provides access to real-time data enabling seamless fleet management from anywhere in the world.

Key responsibilities

You will be part of the development of our next generation reefer controller including the continued development of existing products to ensure alignment and coherence between all parts in the Star Cool ecosystem.

Your key responsibilities will be to:
• Conduct market research and user interviews
• Analyze customer/ user requirements and pain points
• Create interaction flows and use cases
• Aid in design and create mock-ups based on requirements and use case
• Aid in creating a design strategy including identifying key interactions with the Star Cool products
• Aid in the development of new features for the Star Cool eco-system

We are looking for

Ideally, you hold a bachelor’s or master’s degree within Interaction De-sign, Product Design, or similar. Furthermore, we expect you to have a minimum of 5 years of experiences within the field.

Your proven experience should include:
• Experience with agile development (Scrum, etc.)
• Experience in product development cycle
• Develop an understanding for the customers needs and their usage of the products
• Create solving concepts in collaboration with our Engineers
• Being involved in the product’s overall conceptual work
• You are a very good communicator and are able to adjust your tone and message according to the audience
On a personal level, you are structured, detail oriented and provide solution concepts which you follow-up carefully. You are able to make your own decisions and define problem statements. Additionally, you are able to challenge (existing) solutions/ ideas, have a critical mindset and have a sense of urgency. Additionally, we appreciate if you are good at communicating (technical communication) towards internal team and suppliers.
