At UNICEF Denmark, we are working with leading companies and foundations to deliver impact for children worldwide. To support our work, we are looking for a Partnership Manager to join our team with a strong sense of structure and discipline in project management. Your experience in managing multi-stakeholder partnerships, and your specific expertise related to sustainability/responsible solutions for the future, will make you stand out as our next colleague.

If you are keen to drive and develop the industry's best partnership relations with some of Denmark's largest companies and foundations, aim to innovate and set the strategic direction for continuous growth, and you have a strong sense of why future generations should be invested in, then we are looking for you.

The position is within UNICEF Denmark's Partnership Department. The partnership team is a multinational team of enthusiastic specialists in strategic relationship building, program management, communication, and advocacy. As a partnership manager, you will work alongside colleagues in UNICEF Denmark and a broad range of international UNICEF colleagues in Geneva, New York, and country offices in Sub-Saharan Africa and around the globe. Your focus will be to create synergies in partnership engagements, enhance knowledge sharing, and support the development of new funding opportunities within the partnership.

As a Partnership Manager, you will, in close collaboration with international colleagues and the Partnerships Team at UNICEF Denmark, fulfill the following responsibilities:

MANAGE PARTNERSHIPS

As part of the role, you will lead account management on one or more of UNICEF’s big global partners; this includes:

  • Facilitate monitoring and evaluation to ensure that objectives are met, and reporting is timely.
  • Develop work plans and manage contracting matters.
  • Arrange and coordinate field visits and high-level meetings as needed.

ENGAGE IN GROWTH OPPORTUNITIES

On an ad-hoc basis, you will be engaged in various growth opportunities based on team priorities and opportunities arising from partners' engagements across the team. This includes:

  • Lead or participate in project teams pursuing new partnership opportunities.
  • Develop concept notes and proposals matching partner interests and UNICEF priorities.
  • Facilitate collaboration across UNICEF global teams and offices.
  • Undertake market/partner analysis.
  • Support internal efforts to improve workflows and processes.

All responsibilities require good collaboration with UNICEF headquarters, regional offices, country offices, colleagues in the Partnerships Team, and other colleagues in Denmark, focusing on creating synergies in partnership engagements and knowledge sharing and supporting the development of new opportunities. The position will also require that you support the entire UNICEF Denmark partnerships portfolio according to department priorities and workload assessment.

The ideal candidate for the position has the following profile:

  • 3+ years of solid experience with managing international and multi-stakeholder partnerships and collaboration with stakeholders at the highest level.
  • Good project management and problem-solving skills and a strong desire for teamwork, collaboration, and being part of an ambitious team.
  • Proactive with a strong strategic mindset.
  • Diplomatic skills and ability to create coherence between the strategic level and day-to-day activities with various stakeholder profiles.
  • Ambitious and result-oriented with the ability to independently lead and run a business area and execute effective strategic planning, development, and project monitoring.
  • Fluent in English, written and spoken. Some level of Danish would be preferable but is not a requirement.

Send us your motivated CV.
