The Position As our Global Head of Talent and Succession, which will be preferably based in Bagsværd, Denmark, you will be setting the direction for the global Talent Management Strategy and take it to the next level. You will strengthen the Novo Nordisk´s Talent Culture including supporting the development of our leader’s capabilities and will be accountable for a team of 5. Your main responsibilities will also include:
  • Driving our joined efforts to build a talent and leadership pipeline and making sure that their efforts are closely linked to Novo Nordisk´s future business challenges and opportunities.
  • Driving strong partnerships around the Talent and Succession agenda with our internal key stakeholders.
  • Ensuring that our HRBPs and leaders are provided with the needed relevant tools and capabilities.
  • Ensuring together with the P&O organisation that the global Talent & Succession direction is embedded in local practices
  • Proactively monitor Talent and Succession leading practices globally.
  • Responsibility for Talent and Succession staff and budget management.
  • The position requires extensive collaboration with global stakeholders across functions and organisational levels as well as close collaboration with the wider P&O organisation and senior management stakeholders. Qualifications You hold a Master of Sciences degree in a relevant field and have deep expertise and knowledge of talent and succession theory, practice and facilitation. You have been working on a global scale and have experience in more than one business unit, i.e. HQ, Region, BA, affiliate. To succeed in this role, we expect you to have:
  • Minimum of 10 years work experience within the field of People and Organisation – preferably both
  • Experience in leading and driving a functional strategy through a matrix organisation and coach, guide and inspire a diverse global organization
  • Significant experience with driving corporate wide projects involving both peers and executive stakeholders
  • Experience in working cross-functional in a multinational environment
  • Experience with data insights (analytics) and reporting to the executive layer
  • Proficiency in both written and spoken English
  • As a person you are inspirational, curious, visionary and have a holistic approach. You are confident in dealing with ambiguity and have a pragmatic approach while staying focused on the purpose. You have a strong business acumen and understanding of the full enterprise value chain and you have a high degree of sensitivity towards the needs and situation of our internal customers. You have a collaborative leadership style, hold strong communication skills as well as excellent abilities and interpersonal skills to drive change. About the Department You will be part of our Talent, Learning and D&I Centre of Excellence (CoE) residing in Global People & Organisation in Novo Nordisk. You will join the Talent & Succession team which consists of 5 dedicated colleagues with base in Denmark.
