The Position Novo Nordisk is dedicated to leveraging modern technologies in our manufacturing sites to deliver high-quality products sustainably and efficiently to our millions of patients. As a Machine Learning Product Owner, you will play a vital role in bringing machine learning to life at our manufacturing sites. You will be responsible for driving the development, implementation, and operation of the Agarmate machine learning solution in compliance with GMP regulations. Agarmate is being developed to automate the reading of agar plates in the microbiology labs across product supply. All microbiology labs are looking into a high increasing in the number of agar plate readings due to an increase in the regulatory demands and an increase in the amount of product we produce. Working alongside a team of data scientists, senior data scientists, a lead ML engineer, and a validation specialist, you will collaborate closely with the line of business and quality assurance to ensure the successful delivery of a robust and compliant machine learning product. Your main responsibilities will be to Collaborate with stakeholders to establish the product vision, strategy, and roadmap for the machine learning solution in a GMP-regulated environment Partner with processes subject matter experts and quality assurance to define requirements and conduct risk assessments for ML models to be fit intended use Collaborate with data scientists, engineers, and developers to translate requirements into actionable features, tasks, and user stories while considering GMP constraints Work closely with process owners and the Lead ML engineer to specify operational setup requirements for maintaining models in production Assess regulatory guidelines and industry best practices together with the validation specialist and QA, ensuring product decisions align with industry standards As this is a new role in Novo Nordisk you will also be part of shaping the role and the responsibilities for the best integration of ML solutions into our global business process in this highly regulated environment. Qualifications You have a relevant Master´s degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, Engineering, Software Development or equivalent. In addition, you have: Proven experience as product owner or product manager with a machine learning solution or a similar background Proficiency with driving design, implementation and operation of scalable machine learning models and integration into a business process Proven track record with machine learning techniques, such as deep learning preferable with computer vision application such as image classification, segmentation and object detection Experience with agile framework Experience with software development and MLOps Knowledge of statistical thinking and how to use it to understand the processes and the data behind the models As our corporate language is English, we expect you to be fluent both in writing and spoken. About the Department Data Science is a newly established and growing department that focus on maturing and enabling Data Science, including Machine Learning, as a technology for use in Novo Nordisk’s Manufacturing Processes across the globe in close collaboration and co-creation with our deep knowledge and dedicated colleagues from Manufacture.
