In this role, you will be responsible for developing new BI tools, as well as operations and maintenance of existing tools, and to work closely with cross-functional teams, including developers, project managers, and operations staff to analyse data, generate insights, and provide valuable recommendations to drive informed business decisions. You will be a part of a BI team anchored within the business, developing analytical solutions, tools, and reports for our stakeholders across Global Finance. Hence, engaging with stakeholders across all levels in the organization to understand business needs and translating them into data analysis and reporting solutions, will be one of your responsibilities.
Main areas of responsibility are: Designing and developing BI tools, reports, and data models using appropriate technologies and best practice standards, as well as monitoring and maintaining the performance of existing BI tools and systems. Conducting data-cleansing, validation, and quality checks to ensure accuracy and reliability of our BI tool and reports. Automating ETL processes and ensuring increased efficiency of data collection and automatization. Enhancing and maintaining BI tools in alignment with the Financial Management reporting timelines and driving ongoing performance dashboards. Troubleshooting and resolving issues related to data integrity, reporting, and functionality in a timely manner. Documenting technical specifications, user guides, and standard operating procedures for BI tools and processes. Furthermore, we expect you to collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for process improvement and automation in data analysis and reporting, support the business in critical finance process such as quarterly and yearend closings by ensuring the tools and data flows run smoothly, and stay updated with industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in BI and data analytics.

You hold a degree in Business Intelligence, Finance, Business Administration, Computer Science, or other relevant fields, with 2 to 4 years of hands-on experience with Power BI, developing reports or another role within a BI environment from either a consultancy agency or working within finance. Other success criteria are: Solid understanding of data, data flows and how it fits together in data models, with experience in data modelling, data visualization, and dashboard development. Ability to undertake deep dive analysis of key business problems and interpret results to generate insights. Understanding of Extract, Transform, Load (ETL) processes. Experience with Alteryx, SAP, Tabular Editor, UX design, and financial processes will be an advantage. Analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex data flows and models. Ability to work independently and in a team, managing multiple priorities and deadlines. Stakeholder management and communication skills, with high proficiency in English, to effectively convey insights and recommendations to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. The BI & Advanced Analytics Centre of Excellence (CoE), is a diverse team of 9 people, working closely with the business to drive the BI and advanced analytics agenda for the Global Finance community, primarily catering to Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A). The team’s overall goal is to maximize the value of BI and advanced analytics by supporting the organization to move from backward looking financial reporting to forward looking performance management and actionable insights.
The team delivers on this ambition by combining strong finance process and data understanding with BI and advanced analytics skills.
