Our pilot plant includes two facilities - one non-GMP and one GMP. In both facilities, mobile equipment allows us to define and combine the equipment necessary for each purification process. Some of the processes go through both our pilot facilities, and we deliver API to projects ranging from preliminary tox studies to phase I and II clinical trials. As Pilot Scientist you are responsible for: Driving purification campaigns in the facility (That includes planning, dimensioning, and follow up on daily operation during the campaign as well ensuring completion) Scientific collaboration with the process development laboratories in all phases of the planning and of production, i.e. during planning, execution, and evaluation of the process Review of batch documentation and release of API You have great opportunities to be involved in interdisciplinary projects, tasks and problem-solving with an opportunity to put your scientific knowledge and process understanding into play. The projects and tasks can be anchored in the team, the department or cross-functionally.
Qualifications
We are looking for the candidate who has: A relevant master’s degree or PhD in the field of pharmaceutical science Preferably, an experience with protein purification from either laboratory, pilot or production environment Insight and understanding for purification process operations within the fields of chromatography and/or TFF filtrations To be successful in this job it is important that you have strong collaboration- and communication skills as you are working closely together with colleagues from different scientific backgrounds as well as with various stakeholders. It is crucial to be able to identify tasks that needs to be solved, even when they are not handed to you. Our ideal candidate can handle several tasks in parallel and keep a solid overview when being under pressure. As a person you possess a positive mindset, are a team player and enjoy motivating people around you. You are very dedicated, and you enjoy driving the tasks and deliver according to the deadlines. Purification Pilot Plants consists of 5 teams, and we are approximately 75 employees. Our task is to scale up processes, purify and dry proteins for toxicological and clinical studies of the Novo Nordisk portfolio. The position is in a team that consist of technicians, process-technologists, and scientists in Gentofte. The 4 other teams are located in Bagsværd. As we help each other across the teams, there can be an opportunity to take up new challenges and tasks on temporary basis in one of the other facilities.
Our mission is to develop robust and reliable API-processes for our portfolio of drug candidates in Novo Nordisk. We have focus on innovation, quality, and efficiency to improve the life of our patients.
