Global green transition via renewable energy, electrification and green gasses (biogas and hydrogen) is undergoing rapid development these years. Denmark has very ambitious targets, and many topics include cooperation with our neighbouring countries and legislative processes in the European Union. You will therefore be offered equipment for a good home workplace in order to be able to vary in the best possible way between being at our office in Ballerup and at home.Direct involvement in the green and secure transitionYou will be part of a small department dedicated on international relations across sectors using agile working methods. The team cooperates with many different stakeholders. Your job therefore involves many different relations, meetings and cooperations with internal colleagues on policy, energy system development, markets and operation - as well as close and regular contact/travels to other transmission system operators in neighbouring countries (Sweden, Germany, Netherlands, Poland) and European organisations working on decarbonisation through green gasses, security of supply, energy system and infrastructure. Examples include Gas Infrastructure Europe (GIE), ENTSO-G, and Prisma. The job will be divided between collaborative efforts with internal and external stakeholders (e.g. workshops, analysis, or reporting), where you will work closely with others, and individual responsibilities on dedicated subtopics or events, with more time for focusing, innovating, detailing.For example, your working day may include these tasks:
  • Prepare proposals for management and the board of Directors, on positions and concrete collaborations or solutions related to international development in the form of, e.g., briefs, PowerPoint presentations and socio-economic calculations.
  • Participate in collaborations internally and externally to create a regulatory or business framework for the acceleration of renewables, i.e. European legislation.
  • Understand the need for renewables and green gasses for industry and export, as well as the European and Danish economic and financial value chains.
    • We also share our experience on renewables and green gas globally via Energinet Associated Activities, and you can also be involved in the global activities where you will engage with stakeholders on similar topics but with a global outreach. We have many lessons from Denmark to inspire others, and we need the latest knowledge from a global perspective to innovate and prepare our own European and Danish solutions. You can look forward to an exciting job with a steep learning curve and great responsibility, variety and complexity. You will contribute to deliver highly qualified input to the group level as well as the political level.Industrial understanding and socio-economic insightWe are open to different educational backgrounds, as the aim is to complement and strengthen our ability to develop new business models and practical solutions for renewables and green gasses (biogas and hydrogen) and energy system integration (sector coupling). We are looking for a talented, curious economist, political scientist, engineer or someone with a similar background with a lot of drive who is enthusiastic about the energy sector, green transition and regulatory and international affairs.
