In Biotech & Rare Disease (BRD) Analytical Manufacturing Development (MDev) we are looking for a dedicated, enthusiastic, and innovative new colleague to drive automation projects and shape the laboratories of the future. The position As Project Manager you will play a key role in leading automation activities across the Biotech and Rare Disease laboratories. Your overall objective is to specify and manage projects regarding development and implementation of automated solutions to optimize our laboratory by means of robotics and traditional automation. In this role, you will be responsible for: • Gap analysis. • Defining project objectives. • Coordinating activities and understanding customer needs. You will take part in the implementation of large- and small-scale automation solutions in Novo Nordisk’s future laboratories. You will ensure and support initiatives to use best practices, design guides, principles and agreed standards for all our automation solutions. Automation of QC laboratories is a relatively new field, and to a wide extend you will have to drive changes and be a frontrunner in our organization. To succeed you will have close collaboration with our colleagues in the analytical laboratories, colleagues in other development areas across Novo Nordisk as well as external stakeholders. Finally, you will join a harmonious team and department with competent, caring, and positive colleagues. We have a strong foundation of employees with high seniority mixed with more recent newcomers. Qualifications You will be a great asset to our team because you have: • A relevant academic degree within Engineering, Pharmacy, Chemistry, or a similar field. • Extensive experience in managing and executing smaller and larger projects. • A strong technical background, preferably within robotics and automation, or have obtained extensive knowledge about robotics and automation through your current work. • Scientific experience within analytical development and QC laboratories will be an advantage. • Full professional proficiency in English. Ability to communicate and understand Danish. You enjoy working on both short and long-term projects implementing new products and processes. You are naturally good at communicating with all types of stakeholders both verbally and in writing. This helps you to keep all your stakeholders aligned, informed, and engaged. You are motivated by the opportunity of getting a large network in and across our area. About the department You will become a part of Biotech and Rare Disease (BRD) Analytical MDev. We validate and optimise analytical methods for new products within haemophilia and other rare diseases based on new technologies. We implement new technologies to reduce lead time, or to increase yield in production. We implement robots and automated solutions to minimise human interventions during analysis and to increase the stability, capacity and efficiency of the laboratories. Working with various kinds of tasks and professional challenges we use our professional skills combined with systematic problem solving. We have innovation in focus, and we implement new technology continuously.
