Summary:

We are strengthening our People Shared Services team in Europe and we are looking for an experienced People Relations Manager to provide HR support to our business operations in Denmark and Sweden. This position will report directly to the Head of People Shared Services in Europe and will be responsible for managing People Relation activities for a total of 450 employees. You’ll be based in Denmark.

What you can expect in as a People Relations Manager for Denmark and Sweden

  • Manage and resolve complex employee relations issues for the region, including resolving disputes and handling disciplinary actions.
  • Consult with managers on matters involving performance management, employee relations and discipline, providing feedback and guidance to develop management competency in these areas.
  • Ensure compliance with local labor laws and regulations including managing employee contracts, legal compliance, and data protection.
  • Build strong relationships with managers and employees to provide adequate support.
  • You are responsible for supporting global employee lifecycle processes and activities and securing the continuous satisfaction of employees and managers with the services provided in Denmark and Sweden.
  • You will be asked to continuously identify opportunities to standardize and digitize otherwise local HR procedures and processes and ultimately implement any required changes.
  • You are responsible for moving organizational culture and practices towards "self-service"
  • Collaborate with the Global and European HR teams and other departments in STG to ensure the HR function is effectively supporting the business.

Your areas of knowledge and expertise (that matter the most for this role):

  • You hold professional experience in employee relations (labor relations) to provide guidance to the business regarding grievances, compliance, labor law, works councils etc. (Danish Labor law). Notice of employment law in Sweden is an advantage.
  • Professional HR experience from warehouse, manufacturing or logistics companies is an advantage.
  • You have a profound understanding of employee lifecycle processes combined with a strong business process understanding.
  • You prioritize value creation and always seek solutions with a clear long-term benefit that will make life as a manager or employee at STG easier.
  • You have worked with various cloud-based platforms earlier in your career such as Workday, SAP SuccessFactors, Oracle, ServiceNow or similar and you have a solid understanding and experience working with an HRIS (business processes, master data, reporting, etc.)
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Professional English language skills are required.
  • At least 5 years of experience in HR, with a minimum of 2 years in a regional HR role.
  • Strong knowledge of HR laws and regulations in Denmark and Sweden and thorough Danish works council and union negotiation experience.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to build and maintain strong relationships with managers and employees.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
