Novo Nordisk is pursuing an ambitious strategy of improving the life of people living with chronic diseases and drive business growth by innovating and launching connected devices and digital health systems. As our new Systems Architect, you will work on our connected delivery solutions where you will interface with cross-functional teams, experts from across engineering disciplines, program managers and global development teams. What you’ll do Drive the platform evolution of our connected devices. Develop the technical product roadmap of our connected devices. Define, Develop and Document the high-level (System of Systems) architecture of connected delivery solutions. Define sub-systems, allocation of functionalities to sub-systems and planning interdependencies and risks. Collaborate with the business / strategy department to understand the business needs. Communicate requirements to stakeholders. Ensure interoperability and integration of the connected delivery solutions and overall technical coherence among the different elements of the connected solution. Technical reference for the solution stakeholders. Support the technical integration of external digital health partners with Novo Nordisk’s connected devices. Contribute / drive technical discussions on connectivity domain internally and with external development partners. Do you have what it takes? To be successful in this role, we believe that you should have: M.Sc. or PhD in engineering / computer science or related engineering discipline. Solid experience working with complex technical R&D projects in a specialist role. Solid experience working as a Systems Engineer / System Architect / Systems Integrator and have collaborated with external partners to a high degree. Solid experience in product development models and Systems Engineering principles. It would be considered an advantage if you also have: Experience with connected medical devices or medical devices with embedded software with a basic understanding of IEC 62304 As a person, you are a strong team player recognised for your interpersonal skills. You are energetic, show flexibility, and you are comfortable with taking initiative with a 'can do' mind-set, as well as facilitating stakeholders. You communicate fluently in English both written and orally and like to document your work. About the department
Devices & Delivery Solutions is an area within Novo Nordisk's global R&D organisation. We develop medical devices for self-treatment, supporting all business areas of Novo Nordisk A/S. The department is located in Hillerød, in the greater Copenhagen area, and we have a long and outstanding track record of developing the best, most innovative and widely used insulin devices in the world. We are expanding our portfolio of connected medical device projects and a great effort is put into transforming our development processes together with development vendors.
