If yes, apply now for our open positions as Project Managers in the Primary- or Secondary Packaging Development departments at Novo Nordisk The positions As we are looking to fill several Project Manager positions for our expanding portfolio of Packaging projects, we are open to considering candidates with different levels of seniority, with more than 2 years of experience in primary packaging and project management from Pharmaceutical Packaging in-house and outsourcing. In these Project Manager positions, your main responsibilities will be the Project Manager of primary packaging systems for oral and/or injectable drugs, such as blister cards or bottles for tablets; vial/syringe systems; manual pre-filled syringes; or multiuse-cartridge systems for liquid drugs. Project Lead for developing new Secondary Packaging modules. For these roles, the following may apply:
  • Facilitate outsourced development with external partners.
  • Act as a point of contact in project governance, bringing decisions forward and driving the project according to overall timelines.
  • Be responsible for the development plan, resource planning, and timely delivery of projects.
  • Lead the project team of primary or secondary packaging development engineers for clinical trials/market from the ideation phase to drug product launch.
  • Ensure timely delivery of design/products for clinical trials and documentation for submission.
  • Ensure agreements and good collaboration between stakeholders, including coordination with drug development and production, which is key to success.
  • You will work closely with colleagues in drug and device development, Product Supply, and Supply Chain to assent to the requirements. The assignments carried out by the departments are diverse as we deliver to all parts of Novo Nordisk. For this reason, you will have the opportunity to be part of the solution for a variety of challenges. Qualifications We expect you to have the below qualifications as a minimum:
  • A master’s or bachelor’s degree in engineering or another relevant field within the natural sciences.
  • Relevant Project management experience from in-house, outsourcing, and technical aspects.
  • A minimum of 2 years of project management experience, preferably within product development in life science or another highly regulated industry.
  • Experience in primary or secondary packaging for pharmaceutical products, medical devices, or other regulated areas will be an advantage.
  • Fluency in written and spoken English.

You thrive in taking the lead and don't mind starting the hard discussions or making decisions to move on in a dynamic environment. About the departments Primary Packaging Development and Secondary Packaging Development are two departments situated in Devices and Delivery Solutions, a business unit within the global Development organisation located in Hillerød in the greater Copenhagen area with state-of-the-art R&D facilities. Devices and Delivery Solutions has the mandate and responsibility to innovate and develop the most innovative delivery solutions for the entire portfolio of Novo Nordisk’s pharmaceutical products. The unit is comprised of project management, engineering, and technical functions spanning across all competences required to deliver on a diverse portfolio of drug/combination product and device projects.
