The Position We are expanding to support the future of Novo Nordisk by establishing a new and ground-breaking biotech facility in Novo Nordisk Kalundborg. With the opening of this new Technical Purification Facility (TPF), we have established additional capacity to produce API for technical use to support the development of Novo Nordisk's future product pipeline. The new plant will also be an internal innovation hub to support the development and maturation of new production technologies. This facility is more than just a building - it's an opportunity to explore and test cutting-edge production technologies that will shape the future of the industry. This new non-GMP facility has just gone from construction to operation, and we are now looking for an Associate Manager to lead a team of highly skilled technicians responsible for maintaining and operating the facility. Your main tasks will be to: Manage a team of dedicated technicians Develop the team and help position it in the organization, i.e., define roles & responsibilities with stakeholders regarding various deliveries Make sure that the facility is maintained and operational Ensure that campaign productions and the execution of technology projects are carried out efficiently Place the well-being of your team at the centre of your attention. Qualifications To succeed in this role, you: Hold a bachelor’s or master’s degree in engineering, Chemistry, Marine Engineering (Maskinmester), or similar Possess min. 3 years of leadership experience Have experience from pharmaceutical production (a plus) Have excellent stakeholder management skills Are fluent in Danish and English. On a personal level, you are curious and eager to learn. This will enable you to move into a new industry and establish a solid network within the organization. Your open mindset makes it easy for you to work in different areas and projects as the unknown excites you. You possess strong interpersonal skills, which enables you to build trust within your team. You like to develop, involve, and motivate your team members and can communicate and collaborate effectively across disciplines. You should be present and supportive and use your skills to build a trustful working environment. About the Department The department is situated within the Manufacturing Development organization. The Department is responsible for producing technical API for development purposes and developing and testing new technologies within API production. The organisation consists of 16 highly dedicated process engineers and technicians and will be further expanded to support even more projects. It is considered important that the organization is built with people of diverse professional backgrounds and approaches to solving issues.
