The position The position is within our support team, where we intend to expand the team with an Environmental Monitoring Scientist. As Environmental Scientist you are responsible for controlled and classified production areas - a job that takes place in a dynamic work environment in the world’s largest insulin factory. Together with very competent and experienced colleagues, who are eager to share their knowledge and learn from you, you will ensure a perfect and stable manufacturing environment for our processes. You will play a key role in systematic problem solving, be involved in projects and task from process groups and help set the direction for the implementation. We spend a lot of time on shop floor support, building relations and making sure that we fully understand the reality of everyone involved in the actual production – from operators and skilled workers to specialist and technicians. Whenever an issue arises – and preferably before – we facilitate the problem solving and the development of corrective and preventive measures that will allow the production to continue. Qualifications To succeed in this role we imagine you: Hold a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Natural Sciences, Engineering or other relevant field. Have some experience in GMP, Environmental Monitoring (EM), QA, microbiology, or analysis. Are fluent in English and understand Danish on a basic level. As the position is very interdisciplinary, there are several areas of knowledge that will be considered an advantage if you have experience within: Experience in working with classified areas or HVAC systems GMP knowledge Microbiology Furthermore, you take natural ownership, and you perceive the character of complex context with ease, always being structured and systematic in your work. Your natural curiosity will be crucial to your success, as will your skills in coordinating and collaborating efficiently throughout the organization. As a person, you are motivated by working in a dynamic and developing environment, where there is a constant focus on improving. You have a constructive approach to problem solving and focus on finding sustainable solutions together with your colleagues. About the department We are a diverse department consisting of operators, skilled workers, academics and more organised in 8 teams all focussing on producing products for diabetics around the world. In total we are currently about 140 people working to keep the fermentation facility running 24/7. The department is undergoing substantial remodelling and is therefore expanding.
